Teen 3 It’s been 50 years since our namesake, Edwin Pratt, was killed. Throughout 2019 we will be honoring his legacy in a variety of ways, leveraging literary and visual arts to remind people what Pratt stood for and to reflect on how those ideals remain relevant today. At its core, I believe Pratt’s legacy is about opportunity, recognizing those who have it and creating access for those who don’t. Whether he was advocating for education, housing, or jobs, it was always about opportunity. As an arts center, we offer the opportunity to experience the transformative power of creativity and we work every day to make sure that every person has access to it.

Youth & Teen Classes
Pay-What-You-Can Weekend Youth Classes Pay-What-You-Can Weekend classes run fall, winter and spring during the school year on Saturdays and Sundays. Pratt offers experiential 8 week art classes for youth ages 5 – 13 where students explore self-expression through painting, drawing, sculpture and other media as they delve into the elements and vocabulary of art. This Winter's theme is “Food.” The pay-what-you-can model depends on your donations and support to ensure our sustainability. Pratt provides suggested donation amounts for selected classes with the goal of “paying it forward” and assisting those who struggle with providing affordable art experiences to their children. If you’d like to pay an amount that’s not listed, please contact mkaha@pratt.org. Register in person at the front desk today! CLASS
