INSTRUCTOR
Spotlight Faye Baker, a resident of Paso Robles for the past nine years, has developed innovative programs and recreational classes based on her experience in the physical therapy field and martial arts. She has taught body movement arts for 28 years and is a certified instructor in both Tai Chi and Chi Gung. She has also trained in Yoga, various other martial arts and has a black belt in TaeKwonDo. Faye has taught for the City of Paso Robles since 2003 and is beloved by her students for her expertise and compassion. Here are quotes from some of her enthusiastic participants: “I saw that Dr. Oz recommends qigong so I decided to give it a try. My doctor said to keep doing what I am doing – qigong.” W.B., Paso Robles “I was so high-strung I felt like I was jumping out of my skin. The breathing and slow movements of qigong have had a calming effect and I can better deal with the stress of work and home life.” C.L., Templeton Faye invites you to come to your first class for free and discover how Tai Chi & Body in Balance can benefit you! DEPARTMENT POLICIES
Activity Enrollment A minimum number of participants is required to hold programs. The Department of Library and Recreation Services reserves the right to cancel a program that does not meet this minimum and participants will receive a full refund or credit. It is highly recommended that you pre-register as early as possible to avoid programs being cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Activity Refund For ongoing classes, participants may drop the class after they attend the first meeting and receive a partial refund, but they must file for a refund before the second class. No refunds will be issued after the second class. If the participant cancels, he/she must contact the Centennial Park Registration Office, and will be subject to a minimum $7 service charge. Refunds for credit card or cash registrations will be mailed from the City Finance Department approximately two weeks after the request is received. Refunds on checks will be issued after the check has cleared the bank, which is generally within 30 days of receipt. In order to avoid the $7 fee, a participant may choose to keep the money on account to be used for another class. For classes only meeting once, you must contact the Centennial Park Registration Office at least five business days before the class starts. Aquatic Cancellation/Refund If your class has been cancelled by the department, you will receive a full refund OR the choice to transfer to another aquatic activity. A refund check will be mailed from the City Finance Department per the activity refund policy above. All customer initiated cancellations are NON-REFUNDABLE but credit may be applied to another activity offered. Scholarships Scholarships for all types of recreation programs; including camps, classes, and sports programs, are available for incomequalifying seniors and youth. Call 237-3988 or stop by Centennial Park Registration Office for more information.
