Honesty characterizes every aspect of life at Presbyterian College. Without truthfulness, academic communities of servant scholars cannot exist and democracies cannot stand. The Honor Code By joining our community, you are committing yourself to the vigorous pursuit of truth through liberal learning and to the College's high standards of honesty and honorable conduct. Since 1915, Presbyterian College students have dedicated themselves to the Honor Code whose clear guidelines and incentives foster an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect among all of the community's members. Each student is responsible for knowing and adhering to the Honor Code and signs the Roll of Honor to acknowledge a commitment to honorable conduct in all areas of life-social as well as academic, both off-campus and on. The pledge reads: "On my honor, I will abstain from all deceit. I will neither give nor receive unacknowledged aid in my academic work, nor will I permit such action by any member of this community. I will respect the persons and property of the community and will not condone discourteous or dishonest treatment of these by my peers. In my every act, I will seek to maintain a high standard of honesty and truthfulness for myself and for the College." At Presbyterian College, students are expected to be honest and honorable in all they say and do. The privilege of being a member of the PC community requires responsibility, and all community members must maintain their commitment to integrity at all times.
