Graduation Outcomes

Not Words, But Deeds

Presentation is guided by the teaching mission of the Catholic Church and the educational ministry of its founders, the Sisters of the Presentation, whose motto, “Not Words, But Deeds” informs every facet of the educational experience. Since 1966, more than 6,200 Presentation graduates have become women of action with a strong moral compass, keen intellect and joyful devotion to their community.

THE PRESNTATION DIFFERENCE

The All-Girls Advantage Presentation encourages students to understand and celebrate the power and potential of being a woman.

It is a place where young women feel confident raising their hands, using their own voices, and being themselves. In this supportive and empowering environment, young women can explore new interests and feel a sense of self-assurance while developing their minds, opening their hearts and discovering their individuality.

Preparing for College In keeping with the close-knit, nurturing atmosphere at Presentation, the College Counseling Department is individualized and personalized to help our students shine. Throughout the college admissions process, students are encouraged to take a proactive approach by researching colleges, meeting deadlines and completing their applications. Along the way, our caring team of experienced college counselors are there to work collaboratively with students and their families, guiding them and cheering them on as they take the next steps in their future.

At Presentation, Education is

empowerment

Each student is encouraged to think critically, speak and write clearly, and apply her knowledge to 21st century problem-solving. Presentation students are taught how to think, not what to think, giving them the knowledge and confidence to discover their own unique voices and points of view. That confidence, combined with a multi-faceted curriculum, instills students with the skills they need for success. In fact, students and parents consistently name our strong academic program as their number one reason for choosing Presentation, and our alumnae credit the Presentation with helping them feel prepared, confident and successful in college.

WOMEN OF INTELLECT

Women of Innovation Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Presentation uses cutting-edge technology, an integrated arts and science curriculum and a hands-on approach to learning to inspire innovation. With eight clubs and major programs devoted to STEM, a 1:1 iPad program and more than 37 STEM courses to choose from, students are empowered and supported as they pursue their interest in math, science and engineering.

WOMEN OF INNOVATION

Women of Character At Presentation, we believe the best high school experience is one that is well-rounded. Presentation is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential by educating the whole person, with emphasis on personal growth. As a result, students are encouraged to explore new activities and hobbies, hone existing skills and create meaningful, lasting friendships through a variety of co-curricular programs and leadership opportunities. Presentation offers dozens of clubs and programs devoted to performing arts, student government, film and media, community service, politics, cooking, and much more! Each club is run by students, giving them practical, hands-on, character-building experience in project management, team leadership and goal-setting.

WOMEN OF CHARACTER

Women of Faith Guided by our motto, “Not Words, But Deeds, Presentation students are encouraged to become women of faith. Faith development at Presentation stems from Catholic social teaching, which emphasizes the dignity of every human person and the recognition of being created in the image of God. To that end, our curriculum and co-curricular activities provide opportunities for our students to seek, understand and deepen their faith. In approaching this mission, we embrace all faith traditions and value the diversity of our community.

WOMEN OF FAITH

Women of Action At Presentation, “Not Words, But Deeds,” isn’t just a motto. Rather, it is a heartfelt goal, a mission that is lived out every day. Our students actively engage in local and global communities through service projects, drives, advocacy work and immersion trips. Students know when they stand with those in our community who are the most vulnerable, they not only contribute to the common good, but also learn a great deal about themselves and others.

WOMEN OF ACTION

Women of Power Go Panthers! One in six Presentation students participate in our athletics program, which has a rich tradition of excellence in the competitive West Catholic Athletic League. Presentation teams have collected numerous WCAL and CCS titles while producing Olympians, college stars and top-notch professional coaches. Beyond accolades, rankings or numbers on the scoreboard, the Presentation Athletics Department is committed to teaching young women about leadership, initiative, self-discipline and teamwork through sports.

WOMEN OF POWER

Women of Creativity At Presentation, the stage is set and the canvas is ready for student innovation and creativity. Supported by state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated faculty, our students flourish on stage, behind the scenes and in the classroom. The strength of the Presentation Visual and Performing Arts program is routinely recognized. Our dance team has earned two national championship titles; our Bella Voce choir has consistently earned Unanimous Superior rankings; our main stage productions garner acclaim and our students regularly achieve success in competitions. Many of our graduates pursue the arts in college, with many going on to professional careers.
