26 Very Fine Pair Of Gilt Bronze Six-Light Candelabra A very fine pair of 19th century French ‘Belle Époque’ gilt bronze six-light candelabra, the five foliate cast branches terminating to urn-shaped nozzles surmounted by a single nozzle with removable flambeau, rising from three finely cast & chiseled supports draped with garlands atop a circular base on adjustable feet. Apparently unsigned, however the overall quality in terms of form, casting & gilding strongly speaks to the Barbedienne Foundry. Height, 25.75”. Estimation 2,500-3,500 $

289 Edmond J. MASSICOTTE (1875-1929) Canadian Edmond-Joseph Massicotte, nineteen (19) offset-lithographic images, along with one hand-coloured print, each depicting life in rural Quebec in the early 20th century. Each image retains its original vivid colour and is signed in the plate by Massicotte. Note: Massicotte was a prolific Quebec graphic artist in the late 19th century with an early focus on the Art Nouveau Movement. After training with William Brymner in Montreal and by 1908, his style changed to reflect the various classes of Quebec society. The images in this lot pay hommage to the common, hard working people of Quebec during that time. Estimation 600-900 $

Please take note that UPS charges are commensurate with the amount of packing required, size, weight, destination, etc and NOT with the hammer price. Please ask for a shipping quote before the auction, if you are concerned, not after you buy an item. Sales will not be cancelled if shipping is too expensive. For larger items (ex. furniture), please call us (1-877-533-5877) to discuss a pick-up schedule (within 5 business days) or carrier shipping. A list of suggested shippers is available.
