Don't go chasing the pot of gold when you are not even patient enough to wait for the rainbow after the storm.....

Life's greatest rewards simply does not fall in one's lap. You work at it.. And if you fail, it's life. We fall and get back up...success may not come to you immediately But trust when I say its coming.... Hard work rarely goes unnoticed for too long.

In the perfect world I'm sure we would all skip the struggle and go right to the top. What does that do though ? It takes a few Losses before you get that big W sometimes so don't get discouraged. Work hard on building a brand for yourself, get your name out there and never be

Debunking Detox With 5 Easy Fixes.

Live better

(BPT) - Lots of things in life create messes that need to be cleaned up - even in our bodies. Think of a playroom after a long day of family fun - toys and games strewed about the room, which if not tidied, we often end up tripping over. The same holds true for our bodies. After a holiday season of overeating and overindulging, our bodies need straightening up to function at their best, otherwise our digestive system becomes cluttered with toxins. And with cold and flu season in full swing, a body clean up will not only help to

improve your digestive system, but it may also help boost your immune system as well. The goal of detoxing is to eliminate toxins in the body. Toxins are unusable products resulting from the metabolism of nutrients, pollutants, pesticides, food additives, medical drugs and alcohol. A true detox doesn't require fasting or flushing your colon clean, instead it's finding ways to boost your body's own natural detoxification system to rid itself of harmful toxins. Just follow these five easy detox fixes from

Find fiber In order to eliminate toxins through our body's digestive tract, we need to eat foods rich in fiber and nourish good bacteria it is also important to choose foods that contain nutrients like magnesium that support healthy motility of the digestive tract and bitter herbs which help stimulate the digestive tract. Nourish with nutrients. Our internal detoxification system needs the right nutrients to nourish our bodies. Join newly single, twenty something, Evie on a series of first-date misadventures in an effort to find her A.D.A.M. (A down-right amazing man!) It had been about two months since Evie saw John. She was out on a “play date” with her chronically platonic friend, Reggie. They had been friends since middle school and he has always been her ear whenever she needed to talk or vent. Reggie and Evie have held each other down through seven breakups, 10 crazy hookups, and 4 arrests. There was no friendship like theirs, but somehow their friendship was a problem for the people they dated. Maybe it was because they went out on “play dates,” which they would treat like any other date, minus the touchyfeely kissing and the sex. There was never any of that with Evie and Reggie. That rule was deeply established YEARS ago. When they were in the 7th grade, Reggie and Evie met and became fast friends. After a few months, and the prodding of their mutual friends, Reggie tried to kiss Evie under the bleachers at a basketball game. Evie quickly slapped Reggie’s face and reminded him that they are friends. “And if you want to continue to be my friend, this will NEVER happen again.” Reggie never tried to kiss Evie again, as his face was hurting pretty bad; throb-

bing in fact. It was at that moment he decided that he’d rather have Evie as a friend than an enemy. He brought them popsicles from the concession stand and watched her eat hers as he used his to heal his reddish cheek. Evie and Reggie were out on a “play date” when they ran into John. He was dating a new girl. By the looks of it, she barely graduated high school. They stopped and spoke for a few moments, exchanging pleasantries, until John’s date, the toddler, exclaimed that she needed to find a bathroom. John escorted her into the nearest store, but quickly returned to Evie. Reggie ran off to grab the car and she stood under a single streetlight, leaning against the pole, checking Facebook in her teal dress and heels. John tapped her on the shoulder and Evie spun around quickly, slapping him square in the face. “OW!” John shouted. Evie quickly apologized, noting that she assumed she was under attack from some strange person. After they laughed it off, John pulled a folded note from his pocket and handed it to Evie. She looked at the small note quizzically before looking back into

Chasing A.D.A.M.

John’s eyes. “What’s this?” John explained that he wrote a letter to her the day after they last saw each other. He’d been keeping the note in his wallet just in case he saw her again. Today is your lucky day, Evie thought to herself. John looked handsome as always, but it bothered Evie that he doesn’t know the relationship between Reggie and her, but he decided to try and approach her anyway. Normally that would be an immediate turn-off, but this situation calls for a bit more research. Reggie pulled up to the curb where Evie was standing with John. He hopped out, ran around, and opened the door for Evie, causing John to step aside. Once she was in, Reggie extended his hand to shake John’s. When John extended his hand, Reggie pulled him in and reminded John that Evie is loved. “She doesn’t need to be hurt a second time, man.” Reggie hopped into the driver’s side of his soot grey Jaguar. He cracked the windows and pulled off into the night, leaving John to welcome his Elementaryaged date back from the restroom.

Discover these 4 transformative vacations (BPT) - With the busy travel season upon us, people comb through travel websites and brochures looking to find their ideal vacation destination. Some search for stunning examples of wilderness found only in America; others seek a cultural experience, a chance to taste new foods, visit historic sights and see a different side of life. For those seeking to make their vacation fun as well as educational and enriching, there are a host of photography workshops throughout the country that not only offer a chance to see amazing places, but instruction on memorializing their experiences through digital imaging and photography. Through Canon Live Learning Destination Workshops, amateur and professional photographers can travel to destinations around the country and learn from master photographers at the pinnacle of their craft. Participants choose from a number of destinations where they can experiment with different Canon cameras and lenses, get expert feedback on their images and go home with prints that showcase their experience and new photography skills. To help inspire your next vacation, one that can be relaxing, fun, educational and give you an eyeopening perspective on the world, here are some of the best places to discover, or rediscover, in America.

Colorado Rockies. In the heart of these mountains is the famous ski-town of Aspen, which has become a vibrant community filled with world-class dining and shopping. Just outside this small but cosmopolitan town are cowboys and cowgirls, rock climbers and other devotees of the rugged life who have made their home in one of the most stunning and unforgettable landscapes of North America. The best place to view waterfalls: The Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Visitors who wake early to see the sun cut through the mist gathered in the valleys know why these are called "smoky" mountains. Known for its environmental diversity, the Great Smoky Mountains have an abundant amount of wildflowers, vistas, animals and historic settlements. Tucked away in these mountains are some of the most scenic waterfalls in the country. While not as famous as Niagara or Yosemite Falls, these wonders remain one of the best kept secrets in the United States. The best place for stargazing: Moab, Utah. People are often amazed by how bright the stars appear outside of the city. But to really get the full effect of the stars, you have to go far away from any human settlement, such as the desert of Utah. Here, the Milky Way and its thick star clusters fire across the sky in a way that has to be seen to be believed. It's a sight everyone needs to see once in their lives. The best place to be charmed: Tie between the New England Seaside and Savannah, Georgia. There's no better way to take in a sense of America's past than by visiting one of these ocean-side destinations. Savanah's cobble-stone streets, city squares and numerous Revolutionary and Civil War era sites create a vibrant picture of the Old South. Far to the north, the fishing villages of Massachusetts, with the lighthouses, ships and of course, chowder and clam bakes, offer a glimpse into a way of life that was once common throughout America. The inevitable downside of any great vacation is that it always seems too short. With the right camera skills, you can take amazing pictures that are good enough to print, share with others or hang on your wall. These physical prints are not only memories. As works of art you created, they are a truly meaningful way to preserve your experience.

The best place to experience the mountains: The Rocky Mountains in Aspen, Colorado. Few things are as dramatic as the mountains, and few mountains are as iconic as the

Springtime & Glow A springtime glow: 6 ways to purify your skin (BPT) - You've heard of detox diets and ridding your body of toxins, but did you know the same is possible for your skin? Environmental toxins and pollutants not only cause breakouts, but also bring out a dull, less vibrant looking complexion. "Stressors from your environment and lifestyle can cause redness, irritations and premature aging," says Claire Larsen, skin category manager for LifeSpa at Life Time Fitness. "Proper skincare goes beyond simply washing your face before you go to bed. Detoxing your skin can help prevent oily and itchy skin, and even age spots and wrinkles."

along the jawline. It's also typically deep, cystic and sensitive. Talk to your dermatologist or health care provider if you think you might have hormonal related breakouts.

Track the timing, location, shape, size and sensation of your breakouts. Hormonal acne tends to flare up at predictable times and is likely located beneath the cheekbones and

Larsen offers her expert tips for detoxifying your skin and flaunting a natural glow year round: 1. Cut out acne causing foods. Often, what you eat will show up on your face and body. Forehead breakouts are usually due to eating foods your body has trouble breaking down, like refined sugars, carbs, wheat and dairy. Between the brow breakouts are linked to the liver, so try cutting down on alcohol and fatty foods, and adding in liver supporting herbs such as dandelion root, milk thistle seed or yellow dock root. 3. Notice how your routine affects your skin.

5. Try a skin detox treatment.

6. Get your sweat on.

Are you noticing temple breakouts? It could be from the products in your hair. Make sure you're thoroughly cleansing your face each morning and night, making sure to concentrate on your hair line. It's also important to regularly change your sheets and pillowcases. Studies show you should wash your bedding once every week.

When your skin feels like it needs some extra TLC, head to the spa for a HydraFacialMD(R). LifeSpa's HydraFacial service deep cleans with vortex extractions and a mild chemical peel while also infusing lots of hydration. A lymphatic drainage can be added for a special focus on detoxification and an LED light treatment can also help with the clarity and smoothness of your skin.

When you get your heart beating and your skin sweating, it's easier for your body to release toxins. Try to work up a sweat at least three days a week. You could even consider trying out a hot yoga class or heated spa session to encourage the sweat beads to fall.

4. Use detoxifying products. Serums with vitamins C and E, like Vivierskin(R) CE Peptides Serum, help to neutralize free radicals before they can damage the collagen and elastin in your skin. Products with antioxidants will fight against the toxins and pollutants your skin faces every day. Additionally, a detoxing bath containing Epsom salt, like mio's Liquid Yoga Bath Soak, will help to clean out your pores.

If you notice a problem with your skin, a detox may be just the solution you've been searching for. Try these tips to purify your skin so you can radiate confidence, or book an appointment online or at your local LifeSpa, the nation's largest spa operator, for a personalized skin analysis with a certified esthetician.

Top tips for a perfect Mother's Day (BPT) - She's spent years taking care of you, whether it was mending your first broken heart, helping you pack and move for college, or moving in to help take care of your first child. Mom has always been around to help. For all the times she's been there for you, now is the time to be there for her. This Mother's Day, plan the perfect day to show mom just how thankful you are.

1 pint buttermilk, plus extra for brushing

Plan a day together. Set aside all other plans and treat your mom to a day filled with her favorite people, places and things. Whether it's a day spent indoors playing games or reminiscing, or grabbing the extended family and heading to her favorite park, lake or ocean for a picnic, simply sharing in these moments is sure to bring your mom joy and delight.

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Host an afternoon tea. While breakfast in bed may have been your Mother's Day tradition growing up, perhaps it's time for something new. This year, treat mom to a relaxing and indulgent afternoon tea filled with delicious treats like these Lavender Buttermilk Scones.

Briefly knead the dough on a floured surface, then lightly roll out to about 3/4-inch thick. Cut scones with a 2-inch pastry cutter and place on a greased baking sheet.

Salt Your choice of Bonne Maman Preserves Directions: Heat the oven to 425 degrees.

Stir in the lavender sugar (sifted if preferred) and a pinch of salt and make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Pour in the buttermilk and mix to combine, making a soft dough.

8 ounces self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting

Brush the top of each scone with a little extra buttermilk and bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned on the top. Cool on a wire rack, dust lightly with flour and serve with your favorite choice of Bonne Maman preserves.

1 teaspoon baking powder

Cook's tips:

2 ounces unsalted butter, cut into small cubes, plus extra for greasing

* To make lavender-flavored sugar, push 2-3 small washed and dried sprigs of fresh lavender into a jar of caster sugar. Leave for at least 24 hours before using.

Ingredients:

3 ounces lavender-flavored sugar, sifted if preferred (see Cook's Tip below)

* Brushing the scones with beaten egg before baking will give them a shiny golden top. Give Mom a well deserved day off. Even after a perfect day spent with loved ones, sometimes all mom really wants is a day to herself doing whatever she pleases. While you may not be able to give her just that, Bonne Maman, maker of 100 percent natural preserves and jellies, is here to help through the Share The Love national sweepstakes. Mom can enter for a chance to win a $4,500 day off to spend doing whatever she'd like, plus she can download a $2 off coupon for her next Bonne Maman purchase. Yoga 101: How to get started with this accessible, balanced form of exercise (BPT) - More than half of all Americans exercise regularly, according to a 2015 Gallup poll, but there's still room for most people to improve their fitness. Even if you're exercising a few times a week, that may not meet recommended activity levels. If you're looking for a type of physical activity that fits easily into your lifestyle, delivers physical and mental health benefits, yet is gentle enough to be done every day, yoga may be what you're looking for. "Yoga delivers countless health

benefits, including stress reduction, improved blood circulation, flexibility and strength," says Ashley Kohler, manager of Yoga on the Lake, part of Destination Kohler, the five-star, five-diamond resort in Kohler, Wisconsin. "Doing yoga just three times a week can help you sleep better and reduce symptoms of many chronic diseases like arthritis, diabetes and thyroid disorders." If you've never considered yoga, or have thought of it but weren't sure whether it's for you, Kohler offers some insights into how yoga works and the benefits it offers: * Any age is right - Yoga is good for people of every age, from children to senior citizens. In fact, many studios offer classes for new moms and their infants to help mother's post-childbirth recovery and facilitate bonding between Mom and baby. Its benefits for older demographics are also widely

recognized, from helping improve balance and flexibility, to gently improving muscle tone and strength. * You can jump right in - While many people will enjoy a one-onone experience with a certified yoga instructor, it's not necessary to take private lessons before joining a class. Studios like Yoga on the Lake offer a variety of beginner-friendly classes, as well as individual lessons for those who want a more private setting for learning the basics, or who want to work on specific personal goals. * Yoga is great for varying levels of physical ability - You should always consult your doctor before beginning any new fitness routine, especially if you have existing health conditions. That said, yoga is accessible to people of virtually all fitness levels, from those who are starting out sedentary to people who are very physically active. You don't have to be particularly flexible to get started, either; yoga gives you flexibility. And for yoga enthusiasts, yoga sculpt formatted classes provide a high-intensity yoga option. * It's about more than just improving flexibility - Better flexibility is probably one of the best-known benefits of yoga but it's far from the only one. Ultimately, yoga aims to bring together the mind, body and spirit in healthful physical activity. * Fast a few hours before class - Attempting yoga on a full stomach could lead to discomfort and cramps, so try to avoid eating an hour or two before class begins.

* Start from a place of love - "You'll go farther, faster if you take a loving attitude toward yourself and work from where you are, not from where you think you should be," Kohler advises. Don't feel pressured to perform as well as anyone else in the class. Do as much as you're able without straining or injuring yourself. * Leave distractions outside the studio - Leave cell phones and pagers in the locker room or your car; never bring them to your yoga mat. Yoga studios are also typically quiet environments in order to foster relaxation and peace, so try to leave socializing and business outside. * Yoga can be a vacation from the everyday - "Many people who practice yoga regularly view it as their 'me time,'" Kohler says. "It's a break from the demands of the everyday." Resorts like Destination Kohler offer active travelers the opportunity to immerse themselves in a truly soothing, spiritually renewing environment with a spa, yoga studio and other relaxing amenities such as golf and nature trails.
