Chilled Raspberry-Mint Soup 3 baskets of raspberries 4 ounces of Chambord or razzberry liqueur (optional) 1 qt heavy cream 2 lemons (lemon zest and lemon juice) 8 mint leaves Salt – to taste ½ cup Powdered Sugar Blender or Vitamix Soup • Zest lemons and squeeze them and set aside. • Put Chambord, raspber-
ries, ½ quart of heavy cream, 5 mint leaves, lemon zest and lemon juice in the blender. • Blend until extremely smooth. • Strain mixture into a clean metal bowl. Raspberries have tons of seeds and you don’t want the bitterness from them in the soup. • Adjust your seasonings and thickness of the soup with the heavy cream and salt. • Refrigerate Whipped Cream

• Pour remaining heavy cream, ½ cup powdered sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until soft peaks form. • Place in a piping bag and refrigerate. If you don’t have a piping bag, grab a trusty Ziploc bag. Serve I would probably serve this in a chilled wine or martini glass. Pipe some whipped cream in the center. Place two mint leaves on top. E N J O Y

Awaken your self to excelance. I love soup. I mean it can calm anyone down. I have eaten soup and felt in in my bones. There are some really good soups out there. But we live in Florida, where is to hot all of the time. As of right now we are having record summer heats. But I want soup, lol. It’s no laughing matter. Just the thought of a nice blend of romantic flavors to entice the pallet makes life worth living – and almost drinking through a straw. So I decided to go on a scavenger hunt. Thank Goodness I live in Florida, where we have some of the best fruit in season right now – hands down. The Farmer’s Market and every Winn Dixie, Publix and now Sav-A-Lot has some amazing fruit.
So instead of turning on my stove and taking hours making a beautiful hot soup that no one will eat anyway because it is 98 degrees outside, why not try a cold soup. Now no one really knows when the cold soup originated. There are some wonderful Gazpacho’s, Salmorejo’s and Watermelon Soups out there. It could’ve happened by accident. That’s how the best ones usually come about. But I wanted to spice it a little. Raspberries are a mid0summer fruit that comes in several different varieties. Beyond the classic pinky-red, there are also black, purple and golden colors. They’re an

MIND YOUR BUSINESS By: CHASITY D’ CHAPEL
http://www.whynotluvurcity.blogspot.com/ I’m one of those individuals that can write about anything. I have that way for as long as I can remember. In this article, I am going to share some very important information with you pertaining to different aspects of business and development. I chose to write about business because #business is the way of the world. Everyone has some form of business going on, whether they are aware of it or not. There is only one “harsh” distinction. You are either running you own business or taking care of someone else’s business.
Article finished on next page.
E x a m p l e s 1. Do you own your own business? 2. Are you employed? Regardless of what your answer is, this reading material is for you because….. Personally I would prefer if your answer to question number one to be yes. Reason is, everyone is talented at doing something: #hair #makeup #art #writing #photography and my favorite, #business, even #dog walking…lol Whatever it is, it should be something you love and are very proficient in. I have wanted to own my own business for
as long as I can remember the funny thing was, I just didn’t know what exactly I wanted to do, as far as, what business is field I wanted to get into. Now, don’t think I am crazy, but ever since I was in grammar school, I had this crazy obsession with school supplies. Yes, you name it, packs of paper, colored pencils, highlighters, markers, paint, construction paper, was just as equivalent as toys. Now let me add another visual. I was the only child and the first grandchild on both sides of my family. I was a brat to say the least. Every year right be-

fore school started everyone bought me supplies as if they were toys on Christmas. I had a book shelf full of school supplies all to myself and a set of encyclopedia. Yeah, most kids remember their favorite toys, dolls, stuffed animals, video games. My supplies and books were my favorite toys and my teddy bears were my students when I wanted to play school. I would make assignments, have my mommy take them to work and make copies just like I saw the teachers take them to the office at school. I even had math quizzes. I would teach them, filled the answers in myself and I loved looking at my handwriting because I was always complimented on my penmanship. It was like a reflection of me on paper. The more I liked writing, the more I needed things to write about. I started copying definitions from dictionaries, reading various articles and writing summaries. I won countless spelling bees and oratory competitions with very little effort (so I thought). I’m a kid, what the hell do I know. I’m just having fun without realizing that I was preparing myself for my future. So years passed and now I have a live classroom with four younger cousins, and I treated them, just as I treated my teddy bears and baby dolls, and the only difference was, they talked back, and they got the answers right by themselves as opposing to doing it for them…..lol I would go so far as to tear the pages out of the encyclopedia as handouts and yes, mommy made copies. Don’t
shake your head please, these were my toys. Not my only toys of course, but my favorite. Anyway, years later, I graduated from elementary school and attended a vocational high school. As freshman, we were required to choose a shop class, which were almost the same as choosing your major in college. They had cosmetology, fashion design, wood shop, English, graphic arts, music. It was amazing. As students, we learned very quickly to use what we got to get what we wanted. My school was opened from 7am to 7pm. There was too many reasons as to why we needed to leave, Our clothes were cleaned and pressed by the #fashion department. If you needed a hair styled or cut, cosmetology classes was poppin. They were even doing nails. We had the number one marching band in the state and the hottest dance group in our city attended my high school. , but we will get back to that later. Over the years, after graduation, I attended a #community #college for psychology. I chose psychology not only because I enjoy helping people, but by this time, I decided that I wanted to be in the business industry , but did not know exactly what it is I wanted to do. I found out there was an angle. After speaking with the counselors at school, I learned that there was and industry for “industry psychology”. That is where you can #outsource yourself to companies and help them enhance their

products and/or services. By this time, I am a mother of three children so school and education combined was an obstacle within itself. After, two years of psychology and three years of working in call centers (where I tapped into my competitive nature), I decided to go back to school for #business #administration, but we will get to that later. What we will also get to later is how, I started a T Shirt printing company, and grew it into a profitable and resourceful business that helps individuals start or enhance their small business. The point I have been trying to make, if you have not, create a foundation for yourself for a #start up business and may need assistance email me luvurcity1974@aol.com. Join newly single, twenty something, Evie on a series of first-date (mis) adventures in an effort to find her A.D.A.M. (A downright amazing man!)
Chasing A.D.A.M. the monthly journey we take together as she seek out him.
Chasing A.D.A.M. Brad walked into the house. He immediately sat down, kicked off his shoes and turned on the TV. “Hey babe, grab me a beer, will ya?” Evie felt regret sweeping over her. She knew she shouldn’t have let Brad into her apartment in the first place. He was already getting a little too comfortable. They spoke for a while about the date Evie and Jeremy had. Evie tried to play up the date and make it sound better than it was, but Brad knew the truth. He still has her wrapped around his finger…or so he thinks. The next day, Evie ran into Terrance. He was an old high school friend that she hadn’t seen in nearly 10 years. He looked GOOD. His extra dark, chocolatey skin shined in the sunlight. He was sweaty from running through the park where he bumped into her, but Evie didn’t mind. She was intoxicated by his strong masculine scent. They talked for a few minutes about what was new in their

lives. Terrance was pleased to hear that Evie is single. He invited her out to a concert and she accepted. Evie was in the bedroom primping, making sure that her dress was fitting her tightly in all the right spots. She was looking good and feeling better. As she started to walk out of the door to meet Terrance, she got a text from Brad. “I’m coming over tonight around 2.” That’s all it said. Evie ignored the message and walked out of the door. Terrance and Evie had a GREAT time! The concert was amazing. They held hands all night; they took great pictures, and headed to a bar afterward for a few drinks. Evie and Terrance were staring into each others eyes; making sweet faces at each other. The bartender dropped off a pair of drinks and motioned to a woman sitting at the end of the bar. She was a striking redhead with gorgeous eyes and flawless skin. Neither one of them knew the woman, but she came over and sat with them anyway. She introduced herself as Tasha and made average small talk until Terrance excused himself to the bathroom. It was then that she revealed to Evie that she is really Brad’s new girlfriend. Evie told Tasha about the text message she received earlier that night and the two of them hatched a plan to get even. Tasha was gone by the time that Terrance returned. Evie explained it away as a drunken girl looking for a good time. She told him that she followed a group of people who were leaving the bar. She and Terrance enjoyed the rest of their date and he dropped her off at her house around 1am, where they shared a sweet kiss goodnight. She walked around to the back of her apartment to see if Brad was there. Not yet. So she made a shrill bird call and Tasha came walking out of the bushes across the street. They both went inside and proceeded to wait on Brad to show up.

From Crop Tops To Bauble Jewelry
Shed the sweaters, toss your winter boots in the back of the closet and break out your brighter shades of clothing. Warm weather is here, and it's time to give your look as much sizzle as the outdoor temperature, because looking good is always in style. Celebrity fashion stylist Natalie Saidi offers some tips to get your skin, wardrobe and makeup ready for warm weather: Higher is better: This bathing suit season, high-cut looks are in style. Whether you're wearing a one-piece or a bikini, you'll want to touch up your bikini area before hitting the pool. Unlike shaving that can leave cuts or razor bumps, Nair depilatories work by removing hair below the surface, so you are always left with silky smooth skin. Offering a no-touch application, Nair Glides Away Moroccan Argan Oil provides results that last days longer than shaving. Baubles and bling are in: Look for fashion jewelry in bright tones and sparkly stones. Turquoise and diamond earrings, a chunky necklace of iridescent hues and big and bold bangles all make an attention-grabbing statement for summer. Bare that belly: Crop tops are back, so get ready to show off some skin. To keep your midriff smooth and sleek, look for a hair remover that can remove even the shortest hair, such as Nair Ultimate Roll-On Wax for Body Moroccan Argan Oil. Cut it out: Dresses, t-shirts, tank tops, pants and more are all sporting cut-out designs this season. That hint of sun-kissed skin shouts sultry and sexy. Skin is in: Summer is filled with special occasions, like graduations, reunions and weddings. Whether you're wearing a strapless or off-the-shoulder dress, a plunging V-neck blouse or a backless gown, you'll want the skin you show off to be soft and smooth. To prep, use Nair Sprays Away Moroccan Argan Oil to remove leg and body hair. Plus, the 100 percent natural argan oil from Morocco is known for its ultra-moisturizing, nutrient-rich and restorative qualities. Focus on the final touch: Hair and makeup are the crowning touches that pull any look together, and lipstick is the jewel in the crown. Hot lipstick colors this summer are dark reds, bright orange, nude and dark purple. Achieve a smooth upper lip with Nair Precision Kit for Face & Upper Lip Moroccan Argan Oil - when you're getting all those compliments on how fab your lip color is, you'll be proud to show it off. For more information on Nair products, visit www.NairCare.com, www.Facebook.com/NairHairRemover or www.Instagram.com/NairCare.

Dear Fashion World
Dear fashion world: “It’s time you people get your shit right” when it comes to black skin WOMEN - THE POWER As an industry, fashion isn’t known for its diversity. The models booking work are overwhelmingly white—and apparently the challenges facing nonwhite models don’t end even when they do get the job. In a recent Instagram post, African model Nykhor Paul, who has walked the runway for brands including Balenciaga and Rick Owens and starred in a Louis Vuitton campaign, wrote an open letter to the fashion world criticizing its makeup artists for never having makeup on hand to match her complexion. linity is at the cost of the life innocent being. As I mentioned above human being lose his valuable things due to his ignorance. Well, the character of women is so vast that it can not be pen down in a paragraph or summarized in sheet of paper. Therefore it can be understood that without existence of women human being and humanity is in peril.
Dear white people in the fashion world! Please don't take this the wrong way but it's time you people get your shit right when it comes to our complexion! Why do I have to bring my own makeup to a professional show when all the other white girls don't have to do anything but show up wtf! Don't try to make me feel bad because I am blue black its 2015 go to Mac, Bobbi Brown, Makeup forever, Iman cosmetic, black opal, even Lanc么me and Clinique carried them plus so much more. there's so much options our there for dark skin tones today. A good makeup artist would come prepare and do there research before coming to work because often time you know what to expect especially at a show!
Stop apologizing it's insulting and disrespectful to me and my race it doesn't help, seriously! Make an effort at least! That goes for NYC, London, Milan, Paris and Cape Town plus everywhere else that have issues with black skin tones. Just because you only book a few of us doesn't mean you have the right to make us look ratchet. I'm tired of complaining about not getting book as a black model and I'm definitely super tired of apologizing for my blackness!!!! Fashion is art, art is never racist it should be inclusive of all not only white people, shit we started fashion in Africa and you modernize and copy it! Why can't we be part of fashion fully and equally?

I JREAM of FASHION The Journey Continues. Naked Then & Naked Now* fully naked with just a sheet on a bed Do you want to show alot of skin or nah? Well Of course I have my opinions aligned with facts on fashion so maybe I can help a sista out. Remember my last article I wrote about Selena the late great classy latino singer that wore high waist pants and a bejeweled bra? To me its not about what you wear its how you wear it and who you are. I myself am a woman with a bit of class. Ive been told that I get away with dressing half naked because of who I am & how I hold myself. Hell Ive been
for my 1st debut of nude modeling. When i was asked to take discreet black & white nudes at first I was uncomfortable but then i decided to embrace my Work of art. Remember Kim kardashion did her stand up nude pic after having her daughter Northwest? I personally thought It was sexy classy fun and Assy lol. I guess Discreet is the word of this article. Because being discreet can go a long ways. In the 1800s big woman wore corsettes to squeeze in that stomach hunnie and out popped tho-
ses boobies. And they had class. In the 60s 70s & 80s during the "Freak out" era woman wore high waist pants and their flat stomachs were out. And in the 90s...Booty shorts were invented. Now Ive collected opinions and some say you can dress how you want it just depends on if you have kids and some say if you have the body for it flaunt it. Some say "Always keep em guessing" but uhhh after my Nude pic did numbers and I had awesome reviews my audience is still guessing lol. I can flaunt my cookie Jar sometimes but that

What can you do to protect yourself from hepatitis A? Get vaccinated. The CDC recommends that all travelers to regions where hepatitis A is common get vaccinated. The hepatitis A vaccine is safe and effective, and is the best way to prevent infection with the virus. The hepatitis A vaccine is typically given in two doses, six months apart, in order to give a person long-term protection against the virus. Even if you are unable to get both shots before you travel, one dose is better - and safer - than traveling unvaccinated. The first dose of vaccine should be administered as soon as travel is considered - two weeks or more before departure if possible. However, one dose of vaccine administered at any time before departure can provide adequate protection for mostly healthy persons.
