If not, welcome to ongoing articles about starting and maintaining your own “entrepreneurial craft.” Last issue, (in case you missed it) I discussed how I got into my specific line of business, which is a little bit of everything. Join newly single, twenty something, Evie on a series of first-date (mis) adventures in an effort to find her A.D.A.M. (A downright amazing man!)

Chasing A.D.A.M. After an interesting evening outing Brad with his new girlfriend, Evie was spent. She had a great time with Terrance and was looking forward to seeing him again. She shot him a quick text the next morning, apologizing for running off so quickly, and to her delight, he shot a text back immediately asking if she was free next weekend. Evie quickly replied yes. Although she was feeling all types of ‘emoticons,’ she restricted herself to a simple smiley face. Evie hit the streets excited that day. Things were off to a good start and she had a very obvious pep in her step. She stopped into the convenience store for a bottle of water when she met John. She paid for her water and almost walked away without the change. John was standing behind her in line and ran out of the store to return her money. Evie thanked him profusely and started to head off. He could tell she was in a rush so, John reached out once more to hand Evie his card. “Hopefully you can give me a call when things slow down.” Evie was slightly taken aback. She hadn’t even considered the possibility of this handsomely bearded man. Once she took a second, she noticed how handsome he looked in his dress shirt and slacks. His

nails were clean. He even had a beautiful pair of cufflinks. But most importantly, he smelled like deliciousness; late night s’mores over a beach-side bonfire. It was very comforting. Evie took his card, smiled, and went about her day. Later that evening, she reached out to John. It was 7:30 when she called him and formally introduced herself. They had an unexpectedly refreshing conversation. Evie and John spoke until the wee hours of the morning. She felt like she was in high school again. John revealed that he’s a divorced musician with no children. He wants a family, but not too soon. He shares a love for Sci-fi and Horror movies with Evie as well. They’re both into art and travel, which makes John’s suggestion of a Wednesday night gallery opening, a near perfect date. Evie couldn’t believe her luck. She met two perfectly eligible and compatible men (and lined up REAL dates) in just a week! Something has to be wrong here, Evie thought to herself. She looked in the mirror at her outfit. She was wearing a floor-length, empire waist, emerald green dress accessorized with brown and gold bangles and earrings. It was simple, but it made a statement. Just like a work of art. She smiled to herself and headed out to meet John. He donned a crisp white dress shirt with dark brown linen pants and shoes. They looked like the native-African Obamas. Evie admired his ‘grown man style,’ but she was even more impressed with his compassionate and worldly views. Evie thoroughly enjoyed herself that night. John made it so easy for her to feel comfortable. They spent most of their time discussing art and life and existentialism. It was a mature evening. One she hadn’t experienced in a while. The kind of nights she would long for when she was with Brad. Every night with him was a party. Smoke, drink, eat, repeat. Evie had a feeling that John was the type of man that could add something to her life other than alcohol poisoning. And that seems like something worth pursuing.Once 2:30 rolled around, they were sure he wasn’t going to come. Tasha started to get her things together when there was a knock on the door. It was Brad. Late as always, but somehow still on time. Tasha opened the door wide enough so that he could see Evie standing behind her. They both looked pissed.

Beat-theclock beauty from head to toe (BPT) - Let's face it, lack of time is one of the biggest burdens in every woman's life, especially when it hinders your grooming routine. Think about how much time it can take to get polished: 30 minute pedicure, hour long facial, 40 minute blowout, and viola! You've already lost more than two hours. It's about time (pun intended) to rethink your beauty regimen and go sans salon. The right at-home products can give you the results you want while dodging the investment of time and money in salon trips. Check out these beautifying at-home shortcuts to help you look and feel your best, with a lot less effort: DIY beach waves Who doesn't love beach hair? Just because everyday isn't a vacation doesn't mean you can't have fresh-from-the-beach saltwater hair at home. Making sea salt spray in your kitchen is easy and provides that amazing look in no time. Combine hot water (not scalding), sea salt, your favorite hair oil (like coconut or argan), leave-in conditioner and some water-based gel. Apply generously to towel-dried hair, braid loosely and let it dry. Make this mixture and save it in an old shampoo bottle, so you can use it whenever you're in to mood for a fast, easy, and fabulous hairstyle.Pamper your feet with an at-home pedi

At-home pedicures are a great way to pamper yourself - without having to devote time to visiting the salon. The experience can be more than just polishing your nails, however. Smooth and renew the rough skin on your heels and toes with the new Dr. Scholl's Dream Walk Express Pedi Foot Smoother. This electronic hand-held device makes it easy to buff away dry, rough skin, leaving feet looking and feeling smoother. The user-friendly contoured design has no sharp blades. In addition, a nice time saver, is that you don't need to soak your feet prior to use. Visit www.drscholls.com to learn more. Give yourself a fresh, glowing face Facials can take up to an hour and can be costly. If you're looking for a simple way to get glowing skin without spending a hefty amount of time and money, try an at-home facial. Start with a gentle, natural exfoliator, like salt or oatmeal. Next, soak a washcloth in warm tap water, wring it out, drape it over your face, and let it sit for a few min

utes. This helps open pores. Remove the washcloth and apply your favorite mask, following the manufacturer's directions for application, duration and removal. After removing the mask, apply a light moisturizer. You will feel fresh, revitalized and your wallet will thank you! B o d y e x f o l i a t o r Exfoliating your skin removes dead skin cells from the skin's surface, leaving a healthy and glowing look. Lack of exfoliation can lead to dull and dry skin. You don't need to go to an expert or even buy an expensive product to exfoliate your body. Combine one part olive oil, five parts sea salt, and a lemon together to make the perfect athome body scrub in seconds! Keep extra portions of the scrub in a mason jar in your bathroom and use on dry skin before rinsing off in the shower. You will feel refreshed and glowing when you step out! Try these at-home beauty routine time-savers next time you're in a pinch or are in need of a little extra relaxation. You deserve it!

Hi, I am KiKi Le'shea. I'm an entertainer and a up an coming model. In my spare time I'm working on my clothing line. Designing clothes and shoes for men, women and children; but mostly women. I have a passion for singing, but I'm just a little shy. I write poems and choreograph dance. Even sometimes for church. My favorite colors is every color. It depends on the design an how I like it against my skin. What motivates me to keep on pushing is my little girl. She's always admiring how mommy never gives up. She's my little inspiration. Until next time. Take care.

3. A milestone wedding anniversary If grandma and grandpa make it to their 50th wedding anniversary, they deserve the professional treatment. Anniversary portraits will be as much a gift for them as for their family. Taking portraits of active seniors requires a special touch. A milestone anniversary is a celebration of a couple's successful marriage, and photos of their special day should capture the strength and beauty of their commitment. Older folks may not be used to having their picture taken, and a professional photographer will be able to suggest poses and settings least tiring for seniors who may have health or mobility issues, choose the most flattering lighting and bring an element of creativity.

4. Your teen's senior portraits High school senior portraits are a chance to preserve a moment in time that will never come again - your child's official transition from student to adult. The best senior portraits capture the essence of who the young subject is at that point in time, and professional photographers know how to incorporate your child's interests and personality to create memo-

rable images. For more insight into how a professional can help capture a high school senior's personality, visit www. PPA.com/SeeTheDifference/Senior.

5. The big family reunion Photographing a large group of people the size group you typically find at a family reunion - can be a challenge, and an amateur photographer may leave someone out or fail to capture facial expressions that depict the warmth and happiness of the moment. A professional photographer will know how to manage a large group of people, get candid images that capture the spirit of the reunion, control the light and space, and take group shots that everyone will want to frame. You can find PPA photographers in your area at www.FindAPhotographer. com. Before you choose a photographer for your special occasion, make sure you visit their website to view portfolios, read client testimonials and get a better sense of the photographer's personality.

Missed out on summer vacation? T(BPT) - Summer is supposed to be the season for vacation and relaxation, but if you were too busy to take time off, you're not alone. More than 40 percent of Americans didn't use their paid time off (PTO) in 2014, according to Project: Time Off, a study by the U.S. Travel Association. But it's not too late to take much-needed vacation; fall is a great time to relax, recharge and go on that trip you deserve. During the busy summer months when it seems like everyone is taking vacation, it can be hard to slip away from responsibilities at home or at work. Travel costs can be higher during peak summer season, but when fall arrives, prices of accommodations, attractions and transportation drop in many desirable

destinations. Availability and pricing can make fall the perfect time to travel for anyone who felt like they just couldn't fit a vacation into their schedule or budget over the summer. A bounty of beaches While beach destinations can be crowded and expensive during the summer, locations such as Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, offers fall travelers a second chance at summer with its warm temperatures and less crowded beaches once schools are back in session. What's more, attractions remain open well into the season, and a variety of packages and incentives are available. For example, the Myrtle Beach area created a fall campaign designed to inspire travelers to visit its 60 miles of pristine coastline during the off-season.

Published By: 3Macs & A Nerd Production 2015

Myrtle Beach locals often refer to September and October as the "perfect time of year" because the weather is still beautiful, ocean waters retain their summer warmth, there's more elbow room on the beach and accommodations become even more affordable. These positive qualities make fall an even more relaxing season in Myrtle Beach. Autumn can be an ideal time for couples, families with pre-school-age children, honeymooners, bridal groups, retirees and groups to visit beach towns. In addition to popular family attractions that remain open, a number of shopping and entertainment options make fall travel appealing. Opportunities for relaxation range from spa treatments and winery

tours to horseback riding on the beach and feasting on southern comfort food. Traveling to Myrtle Beach is easy for many visitors. The prime beach location is a short drive from many major metropolitan areas on the eastern seaboard, and the Myrtle Beach International Airport offers travelers non-stop and easy connections from across the country and around the world. To learn more about why fall is the perfect time to visit the Myrtle Beach area, go to www.

visitmyrtleb each.com. Mountain resort highs While ski resorts fill up when snow arrives, fall is not yet peak season in many mountain areas. You don't have to be a skier to savor the natural beauty and top-notch accommodation of mountain resort areas. Many offer a variety of outdoor activities that don't require the presence of snow, such as hiking, rock climbing, fishing and water sports. National park majesties Millions of Americans visit

the most popular National Parks each year, and the majority of them do so during summer months when schools are out. The Grand Canyon, for example, in 2014, the months of June, July and August accounted for about 40 percent of all the visits to the park that year, according to National Park Service data. To learn more about the national park services or to find a location near you, visit ww.nps.gov.

Trends turn to cozy and comfortable fall entertaining (BPT) - As the glorious days of summer slip into crisp evenings, the changing colors trigger a transition in seasonal dĂŠcor. "There's an exciting mix of texture and color in fall fashion that's extending into home decorating," says designer Julie Robbins. "As for tabletop, a big trend this season is blending patterns you wouldn't ordinarily put on the s a m e t a b l e . Fo r e x a m ple, paring a very exotic or modern pattern, like an animal print or an architectural design with a mainstream vintage Americana pattern such as Fiesta, or maybe mixing a polka dot pattern with fine china. It's unexpected, but it really works." Robbins helps customers put a new spin on their dinnerware as the lead designer at Replacements, Ltd. touted as the world's larg-

est retailer of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles. Robbins says shades of purple are trending this fall, including va r i o u s tones of berry and plums, along with warm autumn oranges and sage. Popular textures lean toward natural materials such as burlap, leather and knits. If you really want to get your creative juices flowing, Robbins suggests repurposing an old shawl into a table runner. Get cozy with friends and family As home decor changes with fall trends, so is the way many entertain. Gatherings lean toward relaxed, cozy evenings making mem-

ories with friends and family; a respite before the upcoming busy holiday season. "My favorite autumn get-togethers are around the fireplace with homemade chili and cornbread - a very casual, blue jean kind of thing and that's a big trend for fall entertaining," Robbins says. "People are paring back and looking for ways to entertain that don't mean setting a table for 12. This ranges from baby b o omers lo oking to downsize to millennials who want substance over flash. It's earthy and simple."
