OPINION BY RAY SHAY A few nights ago, my eyes blinked wide open long before the sunrise ever began to brighten our night sky. I found myself staring blankly into the darkness above my bed after conducting my little celebration in my brain that I was really alive for another day. After glancing at my iPhone I wondered why I was wide awake at 3:19 AM. Like most parents, I started with a checklist of my children. Troy, Raymond, and Ryan’s smiling faces arrived quickly on the ceiling, and for some reason, I focused on my youngest son Ryan. I recalled he had eaten a good dinner, smiled frequently, and then went to his room where he was now safely sleeping. I reminded myself all three of my sons were good and asked myself again why I was not sleeping? Then it hit me like a pallet of red bricks crashing down through my roof and pinning me to my bed. Elvis #3 is really leaving.
