The average score of all the competitors was over 79%, meaning there were an additional three highly commended students because of the high level of engineering practices. The winners were announced at this years Security & Fire Excellence Awards, sponsored by IFSEC & FIREX, where all students were recognised for their achievements.
The competition cycle starts again in February, where we will put the next generation of apprentices through three rounds of competitions to find next years Engineers of Tomorrow and WorldSkills UK Champion.
Thank you to our sponsors and supporters that made it happen: CSL, Texecom, Hikvision, SSAIB, NSI, IFSEC, FIREX, BSIA, FIA and of course Skills for Security, who organised and ran the event. We also had additional equipment sponsors this year from Apollo, Advanced and Detector Testers.
