welcome WE ARE ONE ISLAND I can certainly say it’s been a challenging year, not only for our residents, but for our island businesses as well. As we turn the corner heading into summer, I am pleased to offer our community a menu of programs, and venues that all ages can participate and most important in a safe environment as the Township and Recreation Department follow all CDC guidelines, along with Governor’s orders. As you browse through the program guide you will find something to do this summer – golf, swimming, concerts, fitness, day camp, and the list goes on. Myself and the Recreation Dept. staff are here to serve you. If you have a questions about any of our programs, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. Over this past year it has been a pleasure to personally serve many of our senior citizens, not only with grocery shopping, but with our transportation program. Seniors, please call 734-216-4905 if you need to schedule a transportation appointment. I also want to thank my staff, who continued to work every day during the pandemic, along with our community groups, commissions, and volunteers. Let’s continue to support our community by visiting our local businesses or playing golf at one of the three beautiful golf courses on the island. We are ‘one island, one community!’ The pandemic will soon be over, in the meantime, let’s stay safe Grosse lle, be kind and courteous to each other, stay positive and keep an open mind. As a resident myself, that is my goal moving forward. Let’s have a great summer!
