About Chris
Biography Property Brokers are thrilled to announce that Chris Moore has joined the team as a Lifestyle/Rural Real Estate agent following a highly successful career in the agricultural industry. Chris spent 15 years building a very successful farming business and a highlight of this time was being awarded the prestigious, New Zealand Sharemilker of the Year title in 2009. Chris also held a senior management and sales role with a leading New Zealand horse stud. This unique blend of business, farming and sales experience, means Chris takes a very professional approach to Real Estate and is focussed on providing the highest level of service to all clients. Chris and his wife Teresa have four children ranging in ages from 11-3, and they have put down roots in the West Melton area. Chris and his family live locally on a 15acre lifestyle block, the children go to school/ kindy locally, and they love being a part of this vibrant community.

The trends in the West Melton Lifestyle Block market are matching those trends seen all over Canterbury. We are noticing a slight decrease in median price and this is having the effect of increasing the days taken to sell, which is quite a standard response in a slowing market. The positive aspect of this data is that numbers of sales in this area is still strong and in fact well outperforming the Canterbury average. This indicates that buyers are still active in the market and keen to buy in this area. As previously mentioned the small gap between vendor and buyer price expectation is slowing the transaction process however.
