The little guide to
Where town meets country PAGE 1
Hi I’m Jillayne
Welcome to Carterton Carterton is a wonderful place to live and a fantastic place to put down roots, raise a family and just enjoy the relaxed, community atmosphere. As a born and bred Carterton local, I purchased my first home at 18 and haven’t looked back since. Both of my daughters have been schooled locally and we have all enjoyed being part of a town that genuinely cares and looks out for each other. It excites me that more and more people are discovering the warmth of Carterton and are choosing to call it home. It really is a town that has it all – quality amenities, wonderful weather and a good, old-fashioned community spirit. This guide will provide you with all the information you need to choose Carterton as a place to call home. JILLAYNE McGREGOR 027 226 5155 jillaynem@propertybrokers.co.nz
New Zealand’s fastest growing town
Welcome to the heart of the Wairarapa New Zealand towns don’t get much better than Carterton. Originally known as Three Mile Bush, it began life as a housing settlement for workers employed on the road between Greytown and Masterton from 1857. It was later named after Charles Rooking Carter, a successful builder and politician with large landholdings in the area. In recent years Carterton has seen an increase in popularity as a place to live and in 2015 was named as New Zealand’s fastest growing town. Popular with families, commuting professionals and retirees, Carterton really does have something to offer everyone.
