MESSAGE FROM THE CEO We concluded the year 2021 with plenty of milestones and memories to recognise. This yearbook also coincides with the early stages of a new era for PropertyGuru in our journey as a high-growth technology company. Despite it being a time of extraordinary disruption, we channeled it into an opportunity to celebrate the success of Asia Pacific’s finest property developers, design practices, and real estate brands in forward-looking avenues. During the 16th year of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, we celebrated the achievements of outstanding real estate companies through the power of digital and satellite platforms. As we enabled millions of people to find their dream homes in 2021, the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards continued elevating the benchmarks of quality real estate, enabling people to make more confident property decisions post-Covid. The awards program fairly and transparently set the Gold Standard of real estate from Southeast Asia to Australia, fulfilling PropertyGuru’s promise to become the Trust Platform for every person seeking property. The same respect and care for property seekers propelled us to offer best-in-line mortgage and home loan solutions through PropertyGuru Finance, which reached a major milestone last year. And with the launch of PropertyGuru Green Score, we owned up to our promise of making sustainable urban living choices easier. In our determination to create what’s next, PropertyGuru successfully accomplished the objective of integrating two household names in the Southeast Asian proptech ecosystem: iProperty Malaysia and thinkofliving. This ensured that we serve our Malaysian and Thai markets and audiences in further improved ways. And then we pushed beyond good. After delivering a solid business performance in 2021, we entered the next phase of our growth with a resounding chime. In March 2022, we rang the ceremonial bell at the New York Stock Exchange to mark PropertyGuru’s debut as a public company. It was our honour and privilege to represent the technology sector in Southeast Asia, with its increasingly affluent, digitally enabled, highly urbanised population, as the region to watch for. Whether we’re ringing the bell at NYSE or toasting to the success of our awardees, one thing remains clear: We are becoming better versions of ourselves. I look forward to continuing to partner with and learn with you for years to come.
