2019 — Annual Report

20 Years of Keeping It In Calgary Keep It In Calgary, our November fundraising initiative, was created in 2017 in an effort to raise awareness for early detection and further engage our local Calgary community. Every year, the campaign encourages individuals to keep their money in Calgary by giving locally, in order to help us reach our goal of $100,000 in donations. Although the campaign has only been running for three years, support from our community began long before that, with the opening of our doors in 1999. All funds raised in the campaign stay in the Calgary area, where they are allocated for treatment and support of individuals in our community who have been affected by prostate cancer. For the past twenty years, supporting local men has been a key component of our organization’s mission. Staying true to this belief, in 2019, to commemorate our 20th anniversary, we partnered with eleven local businesses from various industries. These businesses agreed to donate a certain portion of their sales

throughout November to the campaign. Calgarian businessman Don Bayrack also generously stepped up to match all donations up to $50,000. This, along with the support from individual donors led us to not only reaching our goal, but surpassing it.

We are so grateful for the support we have received in the last 20 years and are excited to see what the future will bring. #LiveLocalGiveLocal
