Hello and welcome to out presentation. We are Heiner Jacobs' class Communicating with Signs. For the past two weeks we have created sign and symbols, worked with illustrations and photographs in order to communicate a story without using any text. We were given the option to choose one of two topics: My Generation or How I Spend My Money in One Week. There is no need for further explanation because the rest of the presentation is for you to interpret our work. Blue sicky dots will be passed around. If anything seems unclear in the work please do not hesitate to ask the author of the work, but also place the sticky on the work itself. Thank you and Enjoy!

a) What did you want to communicated with your design (beside “Generation” or “Spending Money”)? h c I set myself the task of communicating “How I spend my money duri thr ü ing a week” and rather than focusing in on the statical side of this, with sR e quantities, I chose to focus on how to represent my week typically, In h t and in doing so hopefully show my presonality. What I consume on a Gu z week to week basic varies greatly, so by adding an interactive chance t ri o element to my outcome I hoped to portray this. Another element that M c a s I chose to communicate is how spending money on different things Du a effects my emotions. In essence, the aim of the game is to make it lin o r through a week without running out of money, while gaining as much n n Ca a happiness as possible. ckm b) How many dots did you receive? e nB e l rg I received 1 blue dots. r bec) What was the frequent question that you received the day of the Ma n itte presentation? w n a On the day of the presentation, I was happy to find that a people were eo hn m ö i S interacting with my ‘game’ and began to experience it as I had denH e l e signed. a) What did you want to communicated with your design (beside “Generation” nor “Spending Money”)? a In l l With my three pictures I mainly wanted to show the change in the resicLe a dential design made within the 3 generations. Additionally, I have my aM n own personal experience of course design in the living spaces of my k Fio i grandparents and parents, as well as my own generation, ie my own n er W body or my incorporate friends. n e r In each picture there is also a small conflict. Ma In the grandparent generation picture you can see in the background th u a picture of a woman from the 50s, which is in contrast to the emanciG z t i pated woman in the foreground of the picture. r Mo On the parents’ generation remember only the picture LPs, locked c sa u behind glass in the wild days of the 80s, while the furniture is designed D a n the conservative style. i erg in rol b a My generation combines pieces of furniture from the past with modern n C te t i elements. The retro look, combined with modern technology and dazw n a zling colors are on display here. Ritual objects like the Ikea Billy bookeo hn m ö i case suggest the young age group. Nevertheless, a generationsgebunS nH e l denes residential design is hardly to determine. e H e lb) How many blue dots did you receive? ol lke I got 6 dots.
