STOMP

April 12 – 13

// Tickets: $58 - $36

STOMP, the international percussion sensation, celebrated its 25th anniversary of performing in New York City on March 3, making it one of the longestrunning shows in off-Broadway history. STOMP was created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas in the U.K. in 1991, as an evolution from the street comedy musicals they had created in the 1980s. The performers “make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound,” says co-founder/director Luke Cresswell. A unique combination of percussion, movement, and visual comedy, STOMP has created its own inimitable, contemporary form of rhythmic expression: both household and industrial objects find new life as musical instruments in the hands of an idiosyncratic band of body percussionists.

THE BOOK OF MORMON //

April 23 – 28

Tickets: $120 - $30 // Part of the Encore Series

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played recordbreaking engagements in 2014 and 2015, returns to PPAC for a limited run this month. The New York Times calls it "the best musical of this century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." It's THE BOOK OF MORMON, the nine-time Tony Award®winning Best Musical. This outrageous musical comedy follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word. Now with standing room only productions in London, on Broadway, and across North America, THE BOOK OF MORMON has truly become an international sensation. ENCORE SERIES MEDIA SPONSOR:
