October 4 – 9, 2011 Cast of ROCK OF AGES, Photo by: Jeff Busby

PPAC launches the “totally awesome” new National Tour of ROCK OF AGES this fall! In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker, and in L.A.’s most famous rock club, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80's. Nominated for five Tony Awards®, ROCK OF AGES is an arena-rock love story told through the face-melting hits of Journey, Night Ranger, Styx, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, and more!

Cast of ROCK OF AGES, Photo by: Jeff Busby

The New York Times calls ROCK OF AGES, “Absurdly enjoyable! The siren call of those guitars and singalong choruses is impossible to resist” and Time Out New York says, “Excellent! Rock and comedy in perfect proportion.”

Here is a little Blast from the Past! In 1987 (the year ROCK OF AGES takes place)...

• Three Men and a Baby was the biggest Box Office hit (Box Office Mojo).

• Les Misérables won the Tony Award® for Best Musical and Fences won the Tony Award® for Best Play. (Please note: The NEW 25th Anniversary Production of Les Misérables comes to PPAC November 1 – 6; tickets on sale July 31/August 1.)

• Paul Simon’s Graceland won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
