Jeff Brooks as Sonny and Alec Nevin as Calogero in A BRONX TALE. Photo by Joan Marcus Yehezkel Lazarov. Photo by Joan Marcus.

February 11 – 16, 2020

// Tickets: $93 - $38

Rich with musical hits you know and love, including "Tradition;" "Sunrise, Sunset;" "If I Were A Rich Man;" "Matchmaker, Matchmaker;" and "To Life (L'Chaim!);" FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is the heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter.

February 21 – 23, 2020

Three years ago, Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri teamed up with Academy Award® winner Robert DeNiro, Tony® winner Jerry Zaks, and Tony® winner Sergio Trujilo to create this streetwise musical based on Palminteri’s true life story.

Tony®-winning director Bartlett Sher and the team behind South Pacific, The King and I and 2017 Tony-winning Best Play Oslo, bring a fresh and authentic vision to this beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony® winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. Featuring a talented cast, lavish orchestra, and stunning movement and dance from Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will introduce a new generation to the uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!

A BRONX TALE takes you the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s, where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. Bursting with highenergy dance numbers and original doo-wop tunes from Academy Award® and Tony® Award winner Alan Menken and Tony® Award nominee Glenn Slater, A BRONX TALE is “an entertaining, heartwarming, high-powered” story about honor, loyalty, good times, and above all, family (amNewYork).

“MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT” AT THE 2019 HOLIDAY POPS CONCERT!

EXPERIENCE PPAC AT COME FROM AWAY Rhode Island high school sophomores attended a special matinee performance of COME FROM AWAY as part of our Experience PPAC program. Tickets and busing was paid for by PPAC; the students and their schools were not charged for theatre tickets or for bus transportation. Students also listened to a post-show conversation with COME FROM AWAY cast members and producer Sue Frost. Ms. Frost is from Wakefield, RI. Experience PPAC is an education initiative made possible by PPAC’s Board of Directors and staff who strongly believe in the value of arts education. Photos: Michelle Carpenter Photography

The music performed by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and conductor Keith Lockhart at their annual concert helped everyone get into the holiday spirit! Patrick Little, co-anchor of WPRI 12’s Eyewitness News This Morning, made his PPAC stage debut as the guest narrator of “A Visit from St. Nicholas (‘Twas The Night Before Christmas)”. Little (at left) met with Keith Lockhart (at right) during a pre-show sound check. Lockhart’s advice to him: “have fun!” PPAC thanks The Providence Journal and WPRI 12 for their sponsorship of the 2019 Holiday Pops concert. Photo: P.J. Prokop

Producer Sue Frost (third from left) shared her experiences of being introduced to the world of theatre as a student growing up in Rhode Island, and how it inspired her to pursue a career in theatre.
