NATIONAL TOUR LAUNCHES
October 30 – November 6 Tickets: $78 - $31 // Tickets are on sale NOW! Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) will lead the National Tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s THE KING AND I. The National Tour launches at PPAC October 30 – November 6! Director Bartlett Sher said of the leads for THE KING AND I: “Jose was so superb on Broadway in THE KING AND I that I begged him to join us on the tour and l feel we are incredibly lucky to have him. He brings such joy and virility and strength to the King. And he is one of Broadway's great talents. “Laura Michelle has one of the best voices on Broadway matched with an extraordinary heart. Her work on Finding Neverland and Mary Poppins distinguished both of those shows with her natural grace and joy. She will be an exquisite Anna Leonowens.” THE KING AND I, directed by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher, won four 2015 Tony Awards® including Best Revival of a Musical. Hailed as “first-rate, sumptuous” (The New York Times) and "too
beautiful to miss" (New York Magazine), the production played 538 performances on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. One of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s finest works, THE KING AND I boasts a score which features such beloved classics as "Getting To Know You," "Hello Young Lovers," "Shall We Dance," "I Have Dreamed," and "Something Wonderful." Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher, whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.
Macy’s Family Night at THE KING AND I is Wednesday, November 2 at 7P! Enter a world inspired by steampunk culture where cycling is the way to escape a technology-obsessed society. You’ve never seen a circus like this: a dazzling whirl of acrobats, cyclists, and magnificent one-of-a-kind machines.

“SHOW SIGNATURES” UNVEILED! While a show is at PPAC, the Theatre’s backstage is abuzz with excitement. Each visiting company or artist that comes to PPAC leaves a memento – a mural of an individual show’s artwork and company signatures – on the backstage walls. Whenever people visit the backstage, they are impressed by the range of “show signatures” that decorate these walls. We are pleased to offer our patrons a behind-the-scenes look at these pieces. Visit www.ppacri.org/about/ show-signatures to see the full gallery!
