The principle: „Time saving through asymmetrical brush arrangement“

In our fast moving days the time-saving factor has become the dominant criterion when purchasing a bus wash unit. This applies both to private coach companies and public transportation services.

This unit`s frame parts, swivel arms and spray arches are made entirely of galvanized steel to assure the longevity of these durable goods.

The logically conceived asymmetrical arrangement of the wash brushes takes this trend into account while equally achieving superb wash results. Vehicles are washed without interruption also serving to reduce operation costs to a minimum. This is especially valuable when washing in shift operation.

The stationary bus wash unit can alternatively be obtained in corrosion resistant refined steel, known as the ECOBUS DURA.

Wash sequence ECOBUS: The bus drives into the wash unit. Step 1: The bus presses the rotating wash brushes, located in the centre position, outwards while moving forward through the unit and in doing so washes its front surfaces. The first pair of brushes located in the outer position wash the vehicles side surfaces.

Step 2: The bus drives through the wash units open swivelling arms, during which the swivelling arms press onto the side of the vehicle by pneumatic control. In this manner, both pairs of rotating wash brushes carry out the side surface wash. Once the front wash arms are completely open, the wash arms provided for the rear wash swivel in and clean from the middle to the rear side area of the bus.

Step 3: The first pair of pneumatically controlled rotating wash brushes press against the rear of the vehicle and in doing so wash from the outside to the middle of the vehicles rear surface. Meanwhile, the second wash brush pair completes the side surface cleaning.

In the 1st cleaning section The bus is watered via a stationary chemical prespray arch.

The side brushes also move over the centre line through the asymmetrical layout of the wash brushes. The front, rear and side surfaces are efficiently washed. Wash shadows are eliminated on the front and back. The side brushes are positioned in double bearings in the swivelling arms.

In the 2nd cleaning section The main bus wash takes place by means of the four side brushes anchored in the main frame and which run on bearings in separate swivel arms. A dosing pump mixes the wash water with the shampoo used in this cleaning section.

Depending on the type of bus, a front wash arm can be additionally built on in the extended design (front washer for busses with single sided outer mirror).

In the 3rd cleaning section The cleaned vehicle is sprayed down by a rinse arch with a mixture of fresh water and drying aid. The drying aid is mixed with the fresh water via an allocated dosing pump.

Devices for the under-chassis wash as well as for the high-pressure side wash can be additionally obtained.
