Noah’s start in the industry came from his own personal interests and vision of the future. “I went into real estate sales because I wanted to go into the investing world,” Noah says.

“I wanted to learn the ins and outs of the business and then get into the investing world. I got my license in 2016 and worked about two years before I started investing.”

From the start, Noah spared little time in finding his footing and moving forward in real estate.

“My wife and I went to the Maldives, and that trip has changed my life. It was amazing to be on an island like that … it’s so remote and quiet,” Noah says. “When you go to a place like that, you are forced to be still and unwind.”

As he reflects on his career, Noah o ers helpful advice for others who are starting their own real estate careers. “It’s important to be patient in this business,” he says. “It’s not uncommon for people to get in and then quickly realize that this is not as easy as they thought it would be.”

“For me, a big part of it is helping people make big financial decisions,” he says. “People who work with me know that I stay calm and that I always want to give them as much information as I can to help them make an informed decision.”

Another primary driver is fulfilling his sense of purpose. “I like to get up each day, get out there and achieve,” Joshua says. “I don’t care about being number one. I like to set goals and achieve them. A big part of success for me is chipping away, getting referrals and working with clients over and over. I’m thankful that my business has grown every year we’ve kept going.”

Today, Joshua is proud to team up with his uncle, Doug Fero, and another partner, Melissa Klock.

Fulfillment in Life

Away from work, Joshua treasures time with his family, including his wife, Allison, and their two children — 4-yearold, Wiley; and 6-month-old son, Kit.

In his free time, Josh is a big soccer fan.

“I love European soccer and have been to the World Cup in South Africa,” he emphasizes. “I also am a big fan of local Philly sports and like attending games.”

Other favorites include spending time at the beach, as well as exploring the latest and greatest restaurants in the city.

When it comes to giving back, Joshua, his teammate, Melissa; his uncle, Doug; and Doug’s wife, Terry Kirkwood; enjoy supporting the e orts of Cradles to Crayons. Joshua has also supported Habitat for Humanity.

“I always tell people to stick it out past the first two years. The first two years can be brutal. You need to stay true to who you are and service the client the way they need it,” Joshua says. “If you want to make a business out of this, you need to listen to clients and understand what they want. It’s that two year hump.”

With his genuine, straightforward nature, it’s easy to see that Joshua Ellis is here doing what he does for all the right reasons.

“I always want to go the distance to make sure things go the way they should for people,” he emphasizes. “I am going to be here for people whenever they have a question. People know they can shoot me a text with a question or when they need a piece of advice.”
