Dandi Marchers’ Sculptures Workshop I and II A memorial to mark the historic Dandi March led by Gandhiji in 1930, is proposed to be built at a 15 acre plot in Dandi, Gujarat, at the site where Gandhiji and his fellow marchers picked up salt from the sea beach to break the salt law of then British India. The Dandi Salt Satyagraha Memorial is conceived as an experiential journey recreating the spirit and the energy of the Dandi March, taking visitors step-by-step to

understand the Dandi March story and the methodology of Satyagraha – the non-violent movement – which finally led to India’s freedom from British colonial rule. It was an honour to be the official photographer to document this historical event of sculptors bringing marchers to life.

Design by Common People This project aimed at understanding and translating the art of designing, without any prior formal education or training in any design school. How a common man innovates new ways of solving their problems with limited resources and no formal knowledge.

I travelled to different places in India and met such people, documented them to create a resource, that could be shared with masses. It can also help in creating a bridge between formally trained designer and nondesigners.

Wheels of Life - Hybrid Imagery Going beyond the surface to look for the actual essence of a physical form is not easy in this beauty- greedy world which feasts on the visual. But on a more subtle level every object is capable of representing layers of meanings. My experience and thoughts have enriched me and sensitised me.

Therefore at times, even paradoxical “messages” that meet the eye let me to base my series of hybrid imagery on the rhythmic, almost lyrical way “life” unfolds, through “Wheels of Life”.

Advertisement Campaign: Helpage India As a part of final year project in BFA, this campaign on Old Age Homes focuses on making youth realize the importance and need of parents in their lives and staying with them rather than sending them to old age homes in their most sensitive and delicate age.

Headline of the campaign says, “VALUES CHANGED, antiques in parents out”. The value of antiques increase as they turn old but when parents grow old, their value decreases and they are sent out of their homes and left alone. Sub headline says‘what all they have done is endless. All we need to do is just, Care’.
