RESUMO: O presente trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental sobre os reflexos da pandemia na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no Brasil e, especialmente, no município de Óbidos-PA. Entre os objetivos, o estudo visa analisar alguns momentos da EJA no Brasil e delinear possíveis perspectivas dessa modalidade de educação para o município de Óbidos, no estado do Pará. Por meio de um levantamento em fontes bibliográficas, em documentos legais e dados secundários da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua, refletimos sobre alguns momentos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos no Brasil. Entre os resultados percebemos que o levantamento dos dados no município é precário, o que não deixa margem para uma investigação positiva na apresentação de informações e que estatisticamente a EJA precisa de maior engajamento em políticas públicas para projetar um futuro melhor para a sociedade. Concluímos que o cenário atual de pandemia pelo novo coronavírus acentuará o descaso para com essa parcela da população, historicamente excluída do sistema formal de ensino. REFLECTIONS OF PANDEMIC IN YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION ABSTRACT: The present work is the result of a bibliographical and documentary research on the effects of the pandemic on Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in Brazil and, especially, in the municipality of Óbidos-PA. Among the objectives, the study aims to analyze some moments of EJA in Brazil and outline possible perspectives of this type of education for the municipality of Óbidos, in the state of Pará. Through a survey of bibliographic sources, legal documents and secondary data of the Research National Household Sample Survey, we reflected on some moments of Youth and Adult Education in Brazil. Among the results, we realized that data collection in the municipality is precarious, which leaves no room for a positive investigation in the presentation of information and that statistically EJA needs greater engagement in public policies to project a better future for society.
