Royal couple take part in Polo Day and raise more than £1million for charity

Guards Polo Club again plays host to the Prince of Wales’s Royal Charity Polo Cup Day, sponsored by Out-Sourcing Inc. for the third successive year and breaking an already impressive fundraising barrier

HRH The Prince of Wales took to the polo field at Guards Polo Club last summer to play in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup. This incredible day raised more than £1,000,000 which was shared by 11 charities supported by The Prince and Princess of Wales. This impressive sum means that the overall total raised from the Royal Charity

Polo Days played in the UK over the past 12 years comes to more than £12,000,000.

The Prince played as part of the U.S. Polo Assn. team alongside Aiyawatt (Top) Srivaddhanaprabha, Amr Zedan and Mark Tomlinson. Their opponents were the Standing Rock Polo team, featuring Philipp Mueller, Ivan Rubinich, Malcolm Borwick and Clarinda TjiaDharmadi, and the BP

Healthcare team made up of Joevy Beh, James Beh, Henry Porter and Steve Cox.

In an exciting, round-robin format comprising six chukkas, the US Polo Assn. team finished top of the leaderboard. HRH The Princess of Wales presented the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Cup to the winning captain, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.

James Beh of the BP Healthcare Team was named the Most

Valuable Player, while Lily, played by Standing Rock’s Philipp Mueller, was named the Cox Family of Oklahoma’s Best Playing Pony.

Once again, this unique event provided a fabulous opportunity to support and raise funds for 11 of Their Royal Highness’s patronages. These organisations were: MHI (Shout), Wales Air Ambulance, Centrepoint, The Passage, Mountain Rescue England & Wales, Foundling Museum, Forward Trust, East Anglia Children’s Hospices, Baby Basics, Little Village and AberNecessities
