Coworth Park finish top in youngsters’ test

Sons, daughters and siblings of Club players come together in our popular youth tournament, highlighting the talent of our youngest Members. The competitive, yellow-shirted Coworth Park team won Guards Polo Club’s popular youth tournament. This fun yet hotlycontested competition always features a wonderful mix of the Club’s youngest members, alongside our patrons and high-goal players’ children. The result is a brilliant morning of polo, with plenty of action on the field of play. Not surprisingly, there was plenty of vocal support

– from some very knowledgeable spectators – from the sidelines!

The 2023 event was so popular that the 16 entries were divided into four teams – Coworth Park, Flemish Farm, La Martina and Guards Polo Club. They finished in this order after eight fourminute chukkas. With prizes from La Martina, represented on the day by Holly Smith, there was all to play for and the youngest players at the Club delivered some stand-out performances.

King Power’s Gonzalo Pieres

Jnr, who had been supporting his son Indalecio, playing for the Flemish Farm squad, presented some of the prizes much to the delight of the budding high-goal players at the event. These presentations included the Most Valuable Player prize to Coworth Park’s Vieri Antinori Jnr.

In addition, Guards Polo Club team member Florentina Harrison won the La Martina Best Playing Pony prize for Tobiana. u
