It’s about helping people. It’s about building trust. From the beginning I decided to value relationships above all else—and I treat each piece of property as if it were my own. I learned a long time ago that doing what you say you’re going to do is the key to happy customers.

I have more than 30 years of experience in finding and selling development land and finished building lots for clients all over the Triangle and Coastal areas. I began my career in the Wilmington area working along the coast for nearly a decade before moving to Raleigh in 1995. Since then, I have been fortunate to broker a number of large-scale land development deals— some like Chatham Park, an 8,500-acre master-planned community (with more than 4,000 units) in the heart of North Carolina. But what gives me the greatest satisfaction is not the giant deal, it’s helping everyday people in my great state buy and sell land.

Having lived and worked in North Carolina most of my life, I have watched this state grow and evolve, and even had a hand in some of that growth. I have a 30-year history of helping businesses, corporations, and local families or individuals find the perfect property to meet their specific needs—both from a location and price perspective. My passion is to not only connect people with a desirable property, but to help them make an informed decision based on my experience with the region, as well as my understanding of the ever-shifting market conditions.
I also serve as a seller’s agent, and just as I do with my buyer clients, I strive to help you get the best value for your piece of property in the quickest turnaround time possible. I have made a lot of good connections in the state over the years, and I always have my “ear to the ground” so that I am always aware of the commercial opportunities that are available for sellers, regardless of industry or size of the land. I grew up in North Carolina. I’ve lived here and worked here most of my life. I know the people, I know the business climate, and, most of all, I know the land. I’ve grown up with region you might say. It has shaped the person I am and taught me that treating people well is more important than deals and commissions.
People have certainly helped me at various stages of my life and I try to do the same for others. I am often asked to find farm and recreational tracts for people, or help individuals sell their family’s land for the best price once that difficult decision has been reached. Whether you’re buying or selling a piece of land, my job is to make things happen. Over the years I have helped local families sell their properties—as well as assist large companies find industrial or commercial tracts of land for very specific purposes. Much of my work comes directly from referrals, which I greatly appreciate, and I hope speaks to my capabilities and track record.

I’ve always said Real Estate is about relationships. Whether it’s a simple property sale or a major master-planned community, it comes down to people. That’s exactly what happened at Chatham Park in Pittsboro, North Carolina. I picked up the phone and called the DMB Development Founding Partner, Mr. Drew Brown. (DMB was spearheading the Chatham Park Project.) That’s how it all started. I spoke to Mr. Brown at lengths on the phone and told him why this property was such a good fit for Chatham Park. Today it stands as one of the largest land brokerage transactions in the state of North Carolina.
Chatham Park is an 8,500-acre development community in Pittsboro North Carolina. 1,500 acres will be dedicated to building 4,000+ residences: single-family and multi-family homes, as well as some residences for people 55 and older.
