Bring your well behaved four-legged friend and visit with other dog enthusiasts and pet vendors. Owners must provide written proof from a veterinarian showing their dogs current rabies vaccination to attend, a dog tag is NOT sufficient. No female dogs in season please. Dogs must be 6 months or older. Limit 2 dogs per handler (person). Handler must be 16 years or older. People swimming is NOT permitted during this time. Pool has a graduated entry so dogs can easily enter and exit the pool on their own. Concessions will be available. Balls & frisbees available for play. This will be a chance for ages 6 to 16 year olds to compete and learn to use their remote-controlled boat. Each boat will need a transponder and will have a battery limit to ensure fair competition. More details will be sent to registered participants. The race and heats will take place on our 8-acre pond. A MYLAPS RC$ transponder will be required to race. Rain date Sunday June 26. ■ REMOTE CONTROLLED CAR RACE Ages 17+ Welcome beginner remote-controlled car enthusiasts, Locust Shade Park, in partnership with IAM-RC Hobby Shop is hosting the first ever remote-controlled car race. This will be a chance for ages 17 years and up to compete and learn to use their remote-controlled cars. The cars will need a transponder and will have battery limits of 2Cell Lipo Battery to ensure a fair competition. More details will be sent to registered participants. The race and heats will take place in the surrounding areas of Lilac Pavilion. There will be a parking lot track and an off-road track. These extend beyond basic mobility needs and may be designed for school desk, bed, and chairs. Participants will select which design works best for the intended use.
