Registration
• Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is committed to serving the needs of everyone in the community through inclusive programming. Cancellations
• A 100% refund of fees and deposits (where applicable) will be provided if DPR cancels a reservation, pass, program, or camp for low enrollment or other unforeseen reasons.

• All cancellations are subject to a $10 service charge.
• A documented cancellation notice is required at least seven days before the start date of the program, and/or year-round program, 14 days for camps. Failure to provide notice will result in the forfeiture of all fees.
• Cancellation notice can be provided via email or in person to the appropriate

Refunds
• Authorized refunds will be issued by the original payment method except for cash. Cash refunds will be issued via check.
• Regardless of payment method, once 180 days have passed from original payment date, then a check will be issued.

Locust Shade Park is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a variety of great amenities with a beautiful, scenic backdrop with picturesque trails. Amenities include 8 pavilions (available to rent), three playgrounds, horseshoe pits, three tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, 3.2 miles of scenic nature trails, a 15-station fitness trail, warrior challenge course, a mountain bike trail, batting cages, a driving range and an 18-hole miniature golf course, and an eight-acre pond. The park is also home to the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater.

Lake Ridge Marina And Golf Course 112371 Cotton Mill Drive, Woodbridge
Located directly on the Occoquan Reservoir, in the Lake Ridge community, this 74-acre park maintains unencumbered public access to the Occoquan Reservoir with breath-taking views. The Lake Ridge Park Marina offers three-season boat rentals (canoes, pedal boats, kayaks, paddle boards and jon boats) with a Universal Access Boat Launch and dock access. For land recreation, visitors will enjoy playground areas, horseshoe pits and 1.5 miles of nature trails. Lake Ridge Park also serves as the best access to the Occoquan Greenway. The Greenway is still under development, but is planned to connect the Town of Occoquan and the County Complex via a 13-mile network of paved and natural surface trails.

We aim to build on existing skill levels for all ages and develop new ones for efficient technique. Our classes are tailored to the skill of the student, whether the student is a child, teen or adult. Not sure where you fit in? This class enables students interested in competitive swimming to focus on improving their stroke techniques. Students will work on freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. This program is like dancing and swimming together! It teaches teamwork, creativity, and dedication while providing a great workout. Students must be able to swim 2 laps of the pool, be comfortable floating on their backs and know how to tread water all without any assistance. Swim Child & Parent

Miracle League
ADAPTED PROGRAM
The Miracle League Program promotes physical and mental well-being fitness opportunities for the Miracle League players and their families in Prince William County. The program works to eliminate the main barriers for these youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities that arise from playing on natural grass fields in conventional leagues. The League program will play on a custom designed, rubberized surface at Dr. Richard Tami Miracle Field located at George Hellwig Park 14420 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA 20112. Miracle League is about making new friends, building self-esteem, and being treated just like other athletes. Provides participants between the ages of 5+, regardless of their ability to play Miracle League Baseball with the opportunity to hit a ball either off a batting tee or pitched, throw, catch a ball and score a run. Dance is for everyone! Our adapted dance class (part of the Adaptive Recreation program) will help develop communication skills through movement. Therapeutic Swim Class

In this modified class participants will work with instructors in a reduced ratio. Adaptive Flatwater Kayaking
ADAPTED PROGRAM
Come experience the freedom and joy of paddle sports! Our user-friendly kayaks and adapted programs instructors will help participants become comfortable with using Kayaks on the water. Parents and siblings are encouraged to register as well. Paddle sports can become a fun family activity! Participants must be able to keep a life vest on while on the water, stay seated in the boat, and close lips and hold breath in case of submersion. All participants should bring a water bottle and sunscreen.

Toddler Adventure (TA) Age 30 months-3
This toddler program is an introduction for the child into a group setting. This program encourages creative play, exploration, and social development. Planned activities include art, music, movement, language and literacy as well as fine and gross motor skills. Potty training is not required.
3-K Age 3
This program is designed to support and enrich each child’s development. We provide opportunities to develop self-help, social, and emotional skills through both self-guided as well as teacher-led activities. Academic concepts (alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors) will be introduced, and by using our developmentally appropriate curriculum, our experienced and educated teachers will also incorporate activities to strengthen language, literacy, fine motor, and cognitive skills. Child must be potty trained for this program.
Pre-K Ages 4-5
We are dedicated to providing a learning, nurturing, language-rich environment that supports the development of each individual child. Children will become eager learners through both self-guided and teacher-led activities. We provide opportunities to develop self-help, social, and problem-solving skills. Using our developmentally appropriate curriculum, our educated, experienced teachers carefully plan activities to develop and strengthen language, literacy, fine motor, and basic academic skills. Our program prepares children for kindergarten in an engaging, playful, and intentional manner. Child must be potty trained for this program.

Dance is for everyone! Our adapted dance class (part of the Adaptive Recreation program) will help develop communication skills through movement. Teen Jazz
This introductory jazz class is perfect for the older beginner, or those who have recently started studying jazz. Students will develop strength and flexibility, learn to move in sharp, fluid and animated motions, and learn the jazz technique of isolations while working towards leaps, kicks and turns. Through creative movement, little dancers will develop motor skills, focus, and the ability to follow verbal and visual cues. This class uses props and story dances, while also introducing our youngest students to introductory dance terminology.

If you have a balance disorder, you may stagger when you try to walk, teeter or fall when you try to stand up. You may also experience other symptoms such as: Dizziness or Vertigo (a spinning sensation), falling or feeling as if you are going to fall, lightheadedness and other uncomfortable sensations. The Pilates exercise method may help those dealing with balance disorders by specifically concentrating on exercises for coordination, proprioception, proper posture, muscle strength and flexibility while maintaining the head in a neutral position. In this class, we avoid fast movements, work to promote balance, body alignment and muscular symmetry through the principles of Pilates. 163rd Anniversary Tour of the Battle of Kettle Run
Walk newly preserved land of the Kettle Run battlefield on the battle’s 163rd anniversary. Ben Lomond Hospital Lantern Tours
Following the Battle of First Manassas, Ben Lomond was used as a hospital where surgeons treated the wounded throughout the night. Every inch of space in the house was used to care for hurt and dying soldiers. Tour the hospital in the dark and discover the aftermath of the Civil War’s first major battle through the words of those who experienced war’s horrors. Tours begin every 30 minutes at 8 pm, 8:30 pm, and 9 pm.

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Guided Tours
Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of this hallowed ground that was a Civil War camp, cemetery, and battlefield. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles fought in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. and depart from the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. Prince William Lecture Series: “Atrocities At Bull Run” by Harry Smeltzer
On April 1, 1862, the Joint Congressional Committee on the Conduct of the War issued its report based on little known testimony regarding what it officially referred to as “Rebel Barbarities at Manassas.” In summary, the Committee noted that “these disclosures establishing, as they incontestably do, the consistent inhumanity of the rebel leaders, will be read with sorrow and indignation by the people of the loyal States.” Using firsthand accounts from both sides, historian Harry Smeltzer will discuss these and other incidents associated with the first battle which, at the time, were considered evidence of aberrant behavior. He will also look at why they were thought of as such, and how opinions in that regard changed over the course of the war. This lecture is

Basketball League
Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center is ready for another year of basketball league to show off the skills you have learned during the year! Practices will be held on either Monday or Wednesday night for 1 hour and games will be played on Saturdays. This league will consist of 6 games. Saturday game time will be between 10am-4pm with the younger group being in the morning and older group in the afternoon. NOTE: We are looking for volunteer coaches! Volunteer coaches will receive a 50% refund (up to 1 child) after the season is complete. Background checks are required. Basketball Skills Clinic
In this class, your child will begin to learn the fundamentals of basketball. Our instructors will guide athletes through different drills that will be geared to improve ball handling, shooting, passing, defensive stance and more. Each session has been designed to

Beginner Volleyball
An introductory 6 week class designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball. Our instructors will guide young athletes through different drills tailored to improve overall knowledge of the sport and enhance performance. We will teach your player the fundamentals including court placement, player positioning, and boundaries. This clinic will serve as a basic introduction to serving, passing, setting and hitting. This class is designed for players with little to no experience in volleyball. No class on 7/3, 7/24.

Intermediate Volleyball
This 6 week class is designed to introduce the rules of volleyball to the players so that they may grow the fundamental skills learned in the beginner level classes. Your child will be introduced to offensive and defensive play as well as learning the flow of action within the game while running drills and scrimmages. The players will be taught to focus on footwork, hand placement, accuracy of passing and formations. Serving is to be considered a constant and will be continuously worked on within all levels of the game. No class on 7/4, 7/25.

Advanced Volleyball
This 6 week class is designed for players to refine their fundamental skills while being introduced to advanced level skills such as jump serves. Accuracy of passing will be joined by the new skills of blocking and diving to become vital pieces of the game. Players will be put in game scenarios to improve their reactions, coordination, and teamwork. No class on 5/25, 7/6.
