Its overall variety of facilities and activities is unmatched in the area. Locust Shade is the favorite for sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, families and groups. Park Amenities:

Locust Shade is an ideal location for family cookouts, company picnics, or any gathering of friends and neighbors. The park offers a variety of pavilions and picnic areas that can be used on a first come, first served basis or with reservations available. We have pavilions ranging in size from small to large for an intimate family picnic to large groups. Fishing:

Bank fishing is available at our 8-acre pond all year, weather permitting. There are native largemouth bass and bluegill. The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fish stocks channel catfish in the spring & trout between November and April. Park Hours of Operations
