■ ADULT KAYAK Ages 18+ This class will teach you the basic skills needed: fitting a life vest, paddle strokes, general water safety, getting in and out of a kayak, and games. ■ FLY FISHING & FLY TYING WORKSHOP Ages 16+ This workshop is designed for those who are new to fly tying and fly fishing and want to give it a try. An experienced instructor will cover the basic concepts, tools, and techniques used in fly tying and fly fishing. The workshop will cover the differences between fly fishing and “traditional” fishing, fly rod and reel rigging and use, casting techniques, tools and safety concerns related to fly fishing. Participants will use the principles taught to tie two different flies and be able to try them while fly-fishing during this workshop.

■ CREEK CRITTERS *NEW* Ages 4-9 Your budding biologist will love exploring a slowmoving stream and catching some of the critters (macro invertebrates) that call it home. This exciting, hands-on program includes the use of nets, terrariums, and a classification chart to learn about the creek critters they find.

■ STARGAZING AT THE BOARDWALK All ages Turn your eyes skyward and enjoy the spectacular night sky from the beautiful Neabsco Creek Boardwalk. Start the evening with a guided stroll along the boardwalk, followed by stargazing and hot chocolate. This is a winter program you don’t want to miss! Meet at the Neabsco Regional Park pavilion. ■ FULL MOON HIKE All ages Grab your flashlights and join our park naturalists for a slowpaced hike along the beautiful Neabsco Creek Boardwalk. You’ll enjoy learning about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as some fascinating facts about the full Moon. We’ll finish our hike with a yummy s’more by the firepit! ■ OUTDOOR EXPLORERS *NEW* Ages 7-12 Outdoor exploration: kayaking, archery, fishing and hiking. Half Day outdoor camp for young explorers. ■ SURVIVAL CLUB Ages 11-14 Lost in the wilderness? Learn to survive! Join the Survivor Club. You will learn new skills that might someday keep you alive. Each participant will learn how to read a map, build a shelter and fire, water purification, how to fish, and basic archery skills. All your skills will be tested in a friendly competition with your parent as a partner on Saturday, May 6 from 1-4pm.

This activity is designed for a parent and child to work together. Join us for three hours of basic survival training. ■ USA ARCHERY INSTRUCTOR COURSE Ages 18+ This course is designed for scouts, and youth organizations involved in archery programs. No prior experience is required. Certification is valid for three years. You’ll learn how to set up and operate a safe short-term archery program, teach new archers, maintain program equipment, and learn common shooting errors and corrections. A new component includes a “drills & skills” section, which aids in training new archers. There are two parts to the course: Part I: 4-hour online course, Part II: 4 hour in-person. Part I must be completed before Part II in-person. Details will be emailed after registered.
