Digital fluency

At Pymble, girls are equipped with skills to become confident innovative and responsible users of digital technology and positive digital citizens, prepared for the changing nature of the global landscape.

Digital Fluency is one of our Four Strategic Pillars and prepares our students for the future of work and life in a digital world. Technology provides girls with the opportunity to think critically to understand problems, gain insights and creatively develop solutions.

Upper School girls take on greater responsibility for their own learning through their ownership of a laptop, and they are also expected to charge, maintain and access support for their laptop. Pymble’s ICT Hub is available for students to access for help to resolve any issues regarding their device.

Both the academic and Co-curricular landscapes empower our students with passion to develop leadership in the field of technology. Girls work with their teachers to co-design diverse opportunities in response to their evolving interests, supported by mentors and external experts.

Pymble girls have many opportunities to excel in technology by participating in excursions and a range of national competitions in areas such as robotics, STEM, coding and entrepreneurism.
