Inevitably they turn to Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. This verse is often interpreted as a powerful image of the need for transformation, and the calling of Jesus to repent. Asking Jesus into our heart … opening the door … it is certainly a response that can be called for when we understand the
