Prophecy of Simeon

Reflect on the sorrow of Qidist Dingil Mariyam as she presents Eeyesus in the Temple and hears from aged Simeon that a sword of grief shall pierce her soul.

Rejoice, O thou who are full of grace, እግዚአብሔር/ Igziabher/the Lord is with thee. Ask and pray for us to thy Beloved Son, Eeyesus Kristos/Jesus Christ, that he may have mercy upon our souls and forgive us our sins. Amen 1

Reflect on the sorrow of Qidist Dingil Mariyam when she is forced to flee into Egypt to escape the murderous cruelty of Herod as the Holy Innocents are martyred.

Commiserate with Qidist Dingil Mariyam when she meets Eeyesus bruised and mangled and falling under the weight of the cross.

Commiserate with the Holy Virgin Mary as she stands by while Eeyesus is lifted upon the Cross, crucified and gives His life for the remission of our sins.

Reflect on the sorrow of the Qidist Dingil Mariyam/Holy Virgin Mary when her Divine Son was taken down from the Maskal [Cross], and she received Him into her arms.

Comtemplate Qidist Dingil Mariyam following Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus to the sepulcher where Eeyesus body is enclosed and hidden from her sight.
