A Message from the Director

Welcome to Fall

Hawthorne Community and Families!

We hope this message finds you and your families healthy and safe. We know that you are all looking forward to the Fall season in the City of Hawthorne. Recreation and Community Services Department has created a fun and safe Fall season of virtual activities and classes while being mindful of the challenges presented by COVID-19. Safety standards will require us to restructure the way we deliver leisure services, and we are currently working with the County and other local jurisdictions to provide safe programming. These decisions were not made lightly and taken into account the safety of the participants and staff. As always, please let me thank my team here at the Recreation & Community Services Department, in addition to our many community partners and the Hawthorne Parks Foundation. Without their efforts and support, none of the fun would be possible. I look forward to seeing you soon!
