Every eligible individual living, working, and visiting West Hollywood is strongly urged to get vaccinated as soon as they are able. This is especially important for people at risk for severe illness with COVID-19 and people who live or work with unvaccinated older adults and unvaccinated individuals with health risks. The COVID-19 Vaccine Verification Requirements Order was issued by the City of West Hollywood’s City Manager on September 10. The City’s Order was then ratified by the West Hollywood City Council on September 20 with modifications to account for the LA County requirement in efforts to provide consistency throughout the region. The COVID-19 Vaccine Verification Requirements Order seeks to safeguard health and safety throughout West Hollywood by including vaccine verification requirements for: n Patrons and Staff at “Covered Businesses” n City Facilities and City Contractors n City Employees and City Officials Please be advised that as of November 4, 2021, proof of full vaccination for patrons 18 and older is required. This requirement is NOT for children under 18 years old. There are several ways to show proof of vaccination. Acceptable methods of proof include: n A CDC vaccination card or equivalent document issued by a foreign governmental jurisdiction (or photo or copy as a document or stored on a phone/device) n Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider; and/or n A personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California and available by going to myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov *If you have not verified your proof of vaccination at a recreation facility before registering for classes, please be prepared to show proof on the first day of class to the instructor or Recreation staff. We thank you for participating in our programs!

BLACKOUT POETRY
TIE DYE SOCKS
The teens tackle blackout poetry! What is blackout poetry? Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or song and redact words, in order to come up with your very own poetry. We will provide the newspaper and markers and you provide the poetry!
Ready to create some pretty cool patterns? Let’s fold, twist, pleat, or crumple some socks and apply a rubber band. Now let the dye bleed in!

CLASSES FOR ADULTS
Classes for Adults virtual FINDING THE STORIES – KEEPING THE MEMORIES This is a six-week workshop designed to help participants capture their own memories for generations to come. This is not a traditional writing class! Instead, this fun and interactive workshop will help you experiment with a variety of easy methods to identify, save, and share the memories that are important to you – maybe a story about your favorite toy, places you traveled, or how you felt when Dr. Martin Luther King was shot. You may have thought about documenting your own experiences but wondered how to start – and how to find the time! Your experiences and your stories matter! Don’t let them be lost! For more info, call (323) 848-6302, and to register, visit www.weho.org/recreation Instructor: Monica Dunahee CLASS#
