We proudly feature locally grown and produced fruits and vegetables, fish, eggs, baked goods, honey, and pre-packaged foods. We thrive in a community that appreciates high quality, locally grown, sustainable food straight from the source. More importantly, the safety of our customers, vendors, and staff is the City’s top priority. The market adheres to the County of Los Angeles Public Health Department Farmers’ Market Safety Protocols set in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The following safety guidelines will be enforced: n Practice safe physical distancing of at least six feet; n Face coverings must be worn covering your nose and mouth at all times; There will be no entrance/no service without a facial covering; n P ractice appropriate cough and hand hygiene (cough into your elbow; wash hands or use hand sanitizer frequently); n The market will have a maximum capacity of 25 customers at a time via controlled entry and exit points; and n P lease do not touch the products; allow only vendors to handle the produce/products before buying; n Senior Hour, from 9 to 10 a.m., provides priority access for customers ages 55+. In order to maintain safety protocols at the Farmers’ Market, there will be one entrance on N. Vista Street. Vendors Highlight
You may recognize a few Farmers who have been with the market since its inception and as such has developed a loyal customer base. Here are a few of the vendors who have participated in the market since 1986:
Crown 12 Ranch
History of the Market
Known for their fresh crisp citrus, avocados, and more. Farmed locally from Riverside County.
The year 2021 will mark the 35th year of operation for the Helen Albert Certified Farmers’ Market. The Farmers’ Market officially opened on June 16, 1986. Whether you have been shopping with us for decades or only a few years, we would like to thank our community for contributing to the success of the market. “ On September 19, 1985, the City of West Hollywood City Council approved a resolution to establish a West Hollywood Certified Farmers’ Market. The purpose of the West Hollywood Farmers’ Market was to provide residents of West Hollywood with high quality produce, fish, nuts, and flowers at affordable prices, to establish a community service which allows for regular residential social interaction, to enhance the City’s image, and to draw consumers to the local business community” (City Council Consent Calendar, March 20, 1986).
Energy Bee Farms
Known for the variety of raw honey, locally made in Los Angeles County.
The proposal of the West Hollywood Farmers’ Market was presented to the City Council with the recommendation to open the West Hollywood Certified Farmers’ Market on June 16, 1986. Many West Hollywood residents wrote letters and signed petitions in favor of the City establishing a local Farmers’ Market, especially older adults who live nearby Plummer Park.
Tenerelli Farms
Known for their farmed fresh stone fruit. Farmed locally in Los Angeles County.
“ In 1997, the City of West Hollywood Certified Farmers' Market was named in recognition of former Councilmember Helen Albert. Council had previously discussed how to recognize the contributions of former Councilmember Helen Albert. Because she took special interest in establishing the West Hollywood Certified Farmers' Market, including sponsoring the original item by which the City Council founded the Market, naming this community project in recognition of Councilmember Albert would be an appropriate way to recognize her accomplishments” (City Council Agenda Item 2L, September 15, 1997).
J & P West Coast Seafood
Known for their fresh wild caught fish, locally caught in Los Angeles County.
