Content Is King. Many businesses have had a website developed however that’s where it ends. Search Engines want to provide their customers with the latest information so if you are not adding new relevant content they will not see you as important. Action Tip: Have a look at your site and see when was the last date you added or updated your content. Peoples eyes glaze over when they hear SEO. If you want to get an idea of how it works simply look at how you search and this is your key to how others do it.

Test and Measure The beauty of any website is the ability to see statistics. How many people visited, which pages worked best and so much ore. I am always surprised how few businesses use these tools and rely on a hit and miss system. Old business systems means you could never do this. With a little tweaking you can also measure your offline advertising efforts.

You enter some words around what you want to find and start looking at what content the search engine throws up. Making sure those words are prevalent in your website is key and we will look at this later. Making sure you are on Social Media is the way to get your business shared. A lot of your content may not be words but product pictures etc. These can also drive lots of traffic to your website. The new kid on the block is video and this now comes with its own way of driving traffic to your business. Once you have content it can also be repurposed. More Than Graphics The How: Most web sites contain images and naming of those images is crucial. Using image1.jpg is a lost opportunity. They should be named with keywords appropriate for that image and also not have any spaces in the name. So much better than dog.jpg would be german-shepherd-puppy.jpg You can add your product images with descriptions of what the product is. Powerpoints Alternative To Youtube HOW TO USE POWERPOINT FOR SEO When creating your Powerpoint use a catchy title or graphic on your first page. If you go to slideshare and look at the presentations that are getting lots of traffic to get some ideas. Also these presentations do not use transitions so make sure your Powerpoint slides do not use them. Here are some tips in using PowerPoint in SEO and traffic campaign: A.) Create PowerPoint presentations using existing articles. You don’t have to create PowerPoint from scratch. Simply convert existing articles or information from your site and transfer it to SLIDES. Local Listings With the rise of smart phone use all over the world, (Google Android and iPhone are currently reporting roughly 500,000 activations a day ) it’s more important than ever to have your Google places listing up to speed because when people use voice search on many phones, the first results they see are from Google local. 1.
