Urban project and strategy for flooding issues in Manhattan.
I have a deep concern for the L.E.S., which presents a very rich neighborhood in terms of social and historical aspects, but also hosts a more vulnerable population from the economical and societal angles in case of an extreme weather scenario.

Library building.

LOCATION Järntorget, Göteborg, SWEDEN On the pier site created previously during the flooding park project, we want to extend the public space South facing. The Triangle is the connective building of its environment. It uses different material and program to connect the promenade from Järntorget square to the Göta Alv river. The greens spaces on both sides of the building develop on the roof, we feel the building as coming from the ground and acting as a protective shell. We use the triangular shape as a tool to connect and build a new environment.

SUSTAINABLE NEIGHBORHOOD an urban project in Lyon
STUDYPROJECT Fall Semester 2012 Teacher : Julie Cattant ENSAL with Lucie Dagallier and Solène Sellier
PROGRAMME Urban strategy and project in Lyon Housing, Offices, Commerce and Industry
LOCATION Quartier des Poulettes, Villeurbanne, Lyon, FRANCE
MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS On an existing industrial and residential site connected to the city center, this project aims to densify and create a mix-used neighborhood focusing on sustainable aspects, looking at water management and lightning issues. Using different housing typologies and activities close to the main axes, this district becomes the connective between the La Doua and the Les Gratte-Ciel neighborhoods creating a green promenade alternating various different public spaces organized by the omnipresence of water, from the city garden to the residential area and the main public square where the cultural center will be settle.

HOUSING a new building in Lyon.
STUDYPROJECT Fall Semester 2012 Teacher : Julie Cattant ENSAL
PROGRAMME 43 appartments in an urban area
LOCATION Quartier des Poulettes, Villeurbanne, Lyon, FRANCE
Northern view
Setlle in the sustainable neighborhood project, this building is connected to water and acts as a ship. It offers quite a wide range of housing from T1 to T5 and outside and inside common share spaces and patios. A parking lot is located under the patio new topography and the building is connected to the promenade by pedestrian decks. Facing North, different solutions are use to offer as much light as possible. The volume orientated with a 45째 angle allows a maximum lightning and views to the pedestrian path from every apartment. All housings respect RMCs norms and have a bow-window and terrasse, extra spaces which are easily appropriated.

STUDYPROJECT Spring Semester 2013 Teachers : Yves Mouton and Emmanuel Manger ENSAL
PROGRAMME 2500 square meters Library - Exhibition and Concert Hall - Music School - Public Square
LOCATION Quartier des Poulettes, Villeurbanne, Lyon, FRANCE
URBAN PLANNING MASTERPLAN
Taking place on the specific site related to the previous urban project design, the building uses the strength of the area to guide and invite visitors. The building is the kneecap of the public space, articulating a promenade from North to South. The main position is to use the ground in the best way to discover the building. A first declivity attract the visitor to the main entrance, while a second rising green slope leads to the library part on the first floor, a zinc box offering a panorama of the city. The building uses water for both an esthetic point of view, doubling its height, and functional use for the thermal issue.

CONCEPTUAL MODELS
Urban strategy and project in Lyon Housing, Offices, Commerce and Industry
LOCATION Boulevard Marius Vivier-Merle, La Part-Dieu, Lyon, FRANCE The urban design project was to densify this plot in the Lyon CBD, using a mix-used program including housing, offices and day&night various activities. It was important and interesting to reflect about the conservation of the historical building, the housing «barre» from the 1970’s, which has been included in the design process and is an important part of the project connecting the site. A ground floor for the community gather activites and distribute the various buildings, all different from each others, designed by different architects following a common orthogonal grid.

PROGRAMME A House for a family with 2 children.
LOCATION Fictional On a 6m x 40m plot marked out by 2 walls of 6m high with a 5% declivity, the challenge was to provide light and ventilation to this single family house. The house is split in different blocks for different uses connected to each other by a promenade along different patios. A first block at the entrance of the plot is a North-facing art studio. Then the house starts with the services space for the second volume to be more open for family life with common space at the ground floor and bedrooms upstairs connected by a CorbusĂŠen staircase use as an element guiding the user.. Finally the parental suite is located in the last block for an increased independence.

STUDYPROJECT Spring Semester 2010 Teacher : Denis Plais ENSAL with Julien Borrel
PROGRAMME A 300 m2 pavilion for various exhibitions moving over the world.
LOCATION Worldwide Conceived with steel and wooden elements, this building can easily be disassemble and transport in trucks to roam cities and exhibitions. The importance of construction details make the design of this project, and the orientation is also very important, as the wood elements are designed to help for the sun flitration. A raised entrance creates a third space, inbetween the inside and the outside of the building. The pavilion is open towards its environment and is free of charge for the best adaptability to various spatial organizations.

A Shelter for the Homeless in Göteborg.
LOCATION Fiskekyrkan, Göteborg, SWEDEN One of the great problems of the 21st century is the exponential increase of the homeless. A human being is a human being, regardless of his background, education, race, color or nationality. The aim of this competition was to alert society in general and our rulers to this huge social scourge! We design this temporary shelter for one or two homeless person using a double shell system to create a protective warm cocon, able to deal with the extremely cold Swedish temperatures. The shelter occupies a carpark plot, to reuse and reevaluate those disused spaces that exist in all cities. Also, the community is invited to paint the shelter with an artist, to develop interactions between homeless and the society to engage public dialogue and reflexion about their place in the city.

PROGRAMME Carolus Rex Art Gallery in Göteborg.
LOCATION Esperantoplatsen, Göteborg, SWEDEN Developing a leftover in the center, the area is a cultural hub. A building as much as a landscape project, it plays with the metaphor of an icecube of white concrete, highlighting the Carolux Rex bastion masonry. The Glaçon shrill whiteness is an invitation in the cityscape. It is conceived as a public urban space, slopes and steps offer various opportunities for people to pass time. With Carolux Rex panorama offering a 360° view, the roof is also use for outdoor exhibitions. The boundary between the open exterior and the controlled interior is clearly legible. The lobby is treated as a public space, free and open area to the public 24/7. Proposing a very flexible space, to host different activities and arts, the gallery is readable and allows everybody to appropriate a part of itself for a while.

FABRICATION
From the previous analysis of Järntorget and the water front (Masthugget), we observed void spaces (parking, storage, waterfront, undefined areas) we wanted to reveal and interact with. Using the framing as a tool to discover a city, although it is fixed, it still allows the viewer to move and choose his own focus. We invite people to be creative and reimagine an undefined area of the city, according to their tastes and needs, and ultimately what they think a city should be. Social medias, namely Facebook and Instagram, were used to collect all the pictures taken through the frames. These tools are relevant to use as the statistics show that Swedes are really familiar with it, even more than the rest of Europe.

Preparation - Show time - Empty theater After several meetings and conversations with the director, projector and users, we were able to understand the curiosity of people for astronomy and we developed different drawing techniques to represent the same space at various times.

STUDYPROJECT Spring Semester 2013 Teacher : Chantal Dugave ENSAL with Julien Borrel How do we relate to a world map? In this project related to the subjective interpretation of space, we decided to work with maps as we all know. On one side is a world map with no lines but the names of countries and cities, on the other are subjectives words of the main aspects of those places, about the climate, the fauna, local food, or main events happening there.
