Waterline Where the shore meets the surf and a ship meets the sea– Waterline is a collection inspired by the late Fall, early Winter walks along the coast. With an earthy and emotive palette, the garments and accessories in this collection are knit in our alpaca, merino and territory wool yarns: Owl, Phoebe, Lark, Chickadee, and Finch. Designed with colorwork in mind, these five designers created fresh takes on classic silhouettes, embracing the liminal space between land and sea, and translating it into wool. There’s something familiar about the stitches contained within, and something new too, like a voyage you’ve taken before but which always has the potential for new experiences and unforeseen, beautiful moments.

Irina Anikeeva

Paula Pereira

After getting her degree in Economics, Irina Anikeeva was working as a fashion retail manager for years, until she and her husband decided to move to the United States. After the relocation Irina continued with the same career but was thinking of trying something else. At some point she picked up her needles and became very involved in her almost forgotten hobby of knitting. Then Irina discovered Ravelry and it wasn’t long before she published her first pattern. Since then Irina has published another 140 patterns. She has created designs for magazines such as Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knitscene and Knit Now (UK).

Paula believes that inspiration comes from nature, people and daily life, using yarn and needles as tools. She is particularly fond of mathematics and geometry, which enables her to design garments and accessories. She lives in Sao Paulo with her husband, 2 dogs and tons of beautiful fibers.

Valentina Consalvi

Ruth Nguyen

I loved to knit since I was a child. I started knitting seriously around 10 years ago, when I discovered Ravelry and the whole knit world and got addicted! 6 years ago I started dyeing yarn by hand in my kitchen, and my small company, SnailYarn. I always got inspiration from nature, the colors of changing seasons, leaves, flowers, stones, or sunsets, always brought me new color ideas! While watching my color sense develop, I started imagining pieces inspired by those colors, and so last year I started my knitwear design journey. I love geometrical and botanical patterns. I live in Italy, in the beautiful area of Castelli Romani, in Rome countryside.

Ruth Nguyen chases truth, goodness and beauty in the woods of South Carolina, using over a decade of knitting experience to translate what she catches into her designs. She delights in quirky, textural knits in unique yarns and rich colors, and experiments with wild abandon (her second brioche project ever was a two-color floral motif that she created herself ). A passionate nerd, she loves learning tidbits of needlework history, and frequently draws inspiration from literature, art and music. Most of the pictures on her camera roll are of yarn and projects, and she has been seen knitting while trying to read Dostoevsky at the same time. Her biggest crafting wish is the ability to knit while she’s sleeping. Website: redearthdesignstudio.com Ravelry: redearthknits

Erin Jensen Hello, I’m Erin! I have always loved making and I live outside of Kansas City, with my family! My gateway craft was cross stitch and it only escalated from there. When I’m not knitting and designing I love to bake, quilt and sew my own clothing. One day, I hope to have a completely me made wardrobe and to own my own combination yarn/fabric shop. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Scout, has grand plans of being my shop mascot. Website: www.ravelry.com/designers/twin-needles Ravelry: Mommy2Lu Instagram: Mommy2Lu
