Isn’t it nice to have a fiber for all seasons? Quince’s linen yarns have changed the way I view projects to knit during the warmer months, when wooly yarns often catch and stick, and when insulating garments become a distant (if still fond) memory. Don’t put the needles away. Enter linen. In this collection, all eyes are on Kestrel: A yarn that’s a little knitted tube, flattened into a ribbon, that works up to a worsted weight—the handiest of gauges. Elizabeth developed three garments with sleeve lengths to suit all situations; Leah’s Gully crossback tank is a clever piece of summer knitting; and I had fun with Bayou, because I can’t leave shawls well enough alone, whatever time of year, and a linen shawl seems like a really good thing to have. Kestrel is a unique yarn that happily occupies our needles when it’s too warm for wool. We hope you enjoy these easy linen knits.
