Textured brow technique mimics a microbladed brow

HOW ARE 2018’S BROWS DIFFERENT FROM 2017?

2017 was the year of the Instagram Brow - the boxy heavily filled in brow. Moving away from a brow shape that looks unnatural,the 2018 brow is quick and easy to create. Makeup artists are calling it the textured brow. It's made to look like a microbladed brow that is filled in with thin hair-like strokes. This brow will enhance a natural brow because it's a brow for everyone!

HOW TO ACHIEVE THE ‘TEXTURED BROW’?

First, use a fine-tipped brow pencil, such as bareMinerals Brow Master, and apply fine, hair-like strokes to fill in the brow. Make sure it retains a natural look. You don't want the brows to look too heavy.

To put the finishing touch on your textured brow, use a clear setting gel. By brushing your brows up with a gel, you're adding thickness and extra texture by separating the hairs. You can also use a wet glycerin pear soap (called soap brows) and a spoolie or old clean mascara wand. Roll a wet wand in the soap just a little, and use this like you would a clear setting gel.

When it drys, you won't be able to tell the difference and your brows won't budge.
