believe you can try to help empower people. That does not mean you pay their bills or take on their responsibility for what they have created from their own lack of actions or actions. It means you will not let them victimize you or play the victim as you try to help them out. It’s up to them to make their choice whether they would like you to help them or not. An example to me would be like Alcoholics Anonymous. I don’t think they are trying to fix you as much as they try to help you start helping yourself. Note: I could be wrong about Alcoholics Anonymous, but I have known people that have gone there and got what they needed then left.

harsh, but it’s actually practicing self-love for yourself and non-judgment for others. We used to think we

were helping, but the resulting entanglements just confused. I walk my path and honor your path by allowing it to unfold. #energymanagement *Is this difficult?

Yourself” This is the better option. Someone said in a holy text something about seeing the speck in another’s eye and not noticing the speck in one’s own. Maybe it has to do with resonance and reflection. The fact that a person notices the flaw then says something means they were uneasy about their own speck, so seeing the same in another person made them aware of it and they did not like the reminder. That thing that they thought was healed in them still got activated, vibrated and resonated or stirred up what needed to be looked at.

family... and although they resented me trying to fix them, they now resent me not trying to fix them. So, if I say, that is their journey and I respect their right to live it as it is unfolding, my family thinks I am not caring and should try to “help,” It is an interesting conundrum as you try to stay in alignment with your own truth and not judge others for being on a different path.

The Widow Whisperer o you know anyone who is widowed? Chances are, you probably do. The overall widowed population

of the United States stands at around 12%.

Just two weeks after my 23rd anniversary, I became

a painful statistic. I became part of a club that makes up around 1.6% of all widowed people in the US. A club no one ever wants to be a member of.

According to the US census bureau, in 2020 there was

just over 1m widowed people under the age of 50 (1/3 of them men, 2/3 of them women). As a percent of the total population, less than 1% of all people under the age of 50 in the United States are widowed. I am one of them.

themselves. It’s not that they’re malicious, it’s not that it’s intentional, it’s not like they have a mind of their own, it’s just how the machine is designed.

Do they have a consciousness? They are part of your own consciousness. They’re getting their con-

sciousness from you. They’re getting their fuel, their

energy from you. Because if you buy into it, you’re making it seem solid, you’re making it seem like a fact, as op-

posed to a belief. You have to understand how they work, so you can see through the smoke and mirrors; you can

see through the lie that they’re telling you about yourself in order so that you won’t let them go. Once you under-

stand that’s how beliefs work, then you can start seeing it for what it is and you can start realizing: “Okay, I’m afraid to let it go. The feeling about letting it go is the product

of the negative belief. It’s not a fact that something bad

will happen. It’s just telling me something bad will happen

of.” You have to SEE that as just an-

fact woven into the fabric of how we could experience things.

It seems like it would help to have a buddy who can tell you “Hey, when you hear me telling one of these disempowering stories, call me on it right away. t’s always kind of funny, listening to somebody try to

introduce who we are and what we do from the outside.

What is the struggle that you’re seeking assistance for?

Is it mental health? Is it substance? Is it chronic pain? Is it trauma? Is it a combination of all of these things?

And then start from there. “What do you want to do

with your life? What are your goals? How can we help you work through and find the connection?”

that would go there is probably obviously someone who knows their life is being negatively affected by some-

That’s one thing that I think is scary, because I’m in

recovery myself – seven years ago, is what started this journey for me from a willingness standpoint, but the journey dates back to the 90s. So, like, where do we start? Where do I get the help I need?

But one of these souls chose to hold the energy of anger against

Spirit, Spirit Everywhere By Gina Kegel

walked briskly down the long corridors of the brightly lit mall, on

the hunt to buy a pair of sandals. The ones I had never made it

into my suitcase, leaving me on a sightseeing trip with nothing

but flipflops and beat up tennis shoes.

As I headed to the lower level, I was

suddenly hit with a strange dizziness, a buzzing in

the center of my head, and a pressure in my chest. It was

intensely uncomfortable. “When was the last time I ate?” I won-

dered. “Did I have too much coffee?” Walking next to me, my husband said,

“I don’t know why, but I keep having visions of people running and screaming,

crying. It’s intense here.” Although it seemed like just a regular mall, with shoppers and kids, noise and bustle, I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

We knew we were in lower Manhattan, but having entered through a side store, we had no idea

exactly we were until we exited, looked around, and realized – we had been in the Oculus, a shopping center built in the basement of one of the Twin Towers.

On this trip through New York, Boston, Colonial Williamsburg, and Washington DC, I frequently

found myself energetically connected to echoes and emotions vibrating from centuries past. As a me-

dium and energy healer, I’m prepared to handle these occurrences, but as a mom with two kids in tow, I was not prepared to be awash in such energetic turmoil on a city sidewalk.

The medicine for me in these moments was a decisive return to active energy hygiene: the remind-

er to ground, center, cleanse, and recharge with a sense of joy in the connectivity with all life. The layers of experience revealed to me were gifts, and reminders that there is so much more than our eyes can see happening in even the most mundane places.

hen I was four years old, I came to the realization that my invisible playmates, as others referred to them, were Angels. They have been with me since as teachers, guides, and in a few unfortunate moments, my

saviors. They have saved my life three times within flashes of light, and have soothed my emotions appearing within a

human form, at exactly the right time and telling me exactly what I needed to hear. Then disappearing in the blink of an eye, a turn of my head, or around a corner.

I knew they were Angels, and never once did I wonder why. I never considered this question as in, “Why me over

anyone else?”

My entire childhood was a training ground of metaphysical happenings. If you have ever watched one of the Para-

normal movies, I can tell you that some of the occurrences are very familiar—including blankets being pulled off me, being pulled out of bed, and conversations with disembodied voices.

I never uttered a word about it to anyone until the age of 15. The pivotal moment was when my Grandmother Eula vis-

ited me as she was making her transition. She said that upon her shift from the physical flesh, she realized that she was a Seer. She had never known nor nurtured this gift, but she saw clearly that I was a Seer as well. And a powerful one! 26

She told me, “It is something you need to know, in order to move forward into the world and accomplish

what you came to do.”

Out of nowhere, I told my Grandmother that I remembered being born. She didn’t bat an eye as she an-

swered, “I know, Baby.”

Her words unlocked something within me, and the adventure truly began.

Many years have passed. There have been many self-realizations, adoptions of different spiritual practices, and extraordinary experiences including receiving the Aka Dua, an ascension and

healing technology, in 2007. This is my life, but I wasn’t truly grounded until I was guided to research my ancestry. I was told that understanding where you come from and acknowledging your bloodline—your roots—will liberate you.

The Aka Dua helps to clear away the debris; dredging up those things

packed and hidden within, that are not aligned with your true path and

purpose. Through divine intention, the Aka Dua seemed to rapidly root out long lost memories, trauma, familial and ancestral patterns that

belonged to another time, but that I still carried within my DNA and bloodline.

The Aka Dua helped relieve the burdens from my ancestors

that I was carrying, in addition to helping me recognize the

gifts I’ve carried forward, to be unwrapped in perfect timing

throughout my life. It has also helped me to acknowledge what was not working within my life, and guided me to a new way

of understanding the world and my place within it. It was the introduction of a new way of approaching the world, from a space of higher perception, grace and wisdom.

As I now stand upon the shoulders of those who came

before me, I stand in strength, empowerment, and resilience.

I stand as a tree that is deeply rooted into the earth, reaching

upwards and outwards, nourished by the Mother, Gaia, so

that I am grounded, strong and can bear fruit. And nourished

by the cosmos, the energy of the Sun and the Moon, and the

astrological currents that take command through the many

cycles we experience within our human lifetimes.

Within all that I have experienced, the thing that truly allowed

my spiritual transfiguration, was acknowledgment and under-

standing of my bloodline. Our ancestors never leave us. They course

through our veins, our genetic code, and are a deep part of who we are.

And why we are the way that we are. I learned that Seers, Healers, Medi-

ums, Voodoo Priestesses and Prophets riddled both the paternal and ma-

ternal sides of my family. My mother announced when I was 33 years old, that

she was a prophetess and refused to use her gifts. She never spoke of it again, but

both my sister and I realized that she unconsciously used the gift all the time!

We all have gifts we incarnated into this lifetime with, and all that it takes is acknowledg-

ment and practice. Every seed must be nurtured. Space must be created within the well of our de-

sires. And our fears and mistrust must be abolished, or at least set aside as we allow ourselves to explore

and experience that which is new to us. And we must trust.

yet arrived where we can talk about this stuff with anybody and everybody.

ne defeated and self-deprecating afternoon 18 years ago (with 55 “extra” lbs on my body) I found

myself imagining, with my hyper-creative skills “ways that I could lose the weight.” The idea popped

into my head that I would surely get skinny if I had cancer. I’d seen the stock photos of chemo patients online and it seemed quick, efficient and I was at the point psychologically where I would rather face death than consider that I might never be skinny otherwise.

I was also attracted to the idea that I would be cared for, and that anyone who had ever “done me

wrong” would surely feel badly and regret their mistakes knowing that I was dying. That seemed like the ultimate prize.

As quickly as the idea came in, I scurried it out. But then it came back again. And again.

Ultimately, I lost the weight (largely as a result of a parasitic infection from bad crab in Vietnam). But,

the phrase, “You’ll be sorry when you find out I’m dying,” made a regular appearance in my mind when I faced conflict in relationships.

Not surprisingly - my dream became a reality 12 years later when I was informed that I had the “C” word.

And it was nothing like I had imagined.

Some of my closest loved ones disapproved of how I chose to heal my

body. And within two weeks of the diagnosis, full-blown PTSD kicked in leaving me isolated, terrified, and once-again defeated. Cancer didn’t fix my problems. It magnified them.

It opened the Pandora’s Box of all of my pain, inner-conflict, and emo-

tional negligence. It showed me my anxious-attachment style co-dependencies, my hatred for myself and my body, and my innate feeling that “Everyone would be a whole lot less miserable if I wasn’t here.”

And thank GOD. Because just like a low-grade infection that ultimately

wreaks havoc on the body, these low-grade fears and feelings had been wreaking

havoc on my relationship with myself and ev-

eryone around me LONG before they made a home in my body temple.

Had I been eating organic, exercising,

and regulating my stress? No. But the

same was true for many of my friends in their mid-30s and they didn’t have cancer.

In late August 2020, I was diagnosed with lymphoma. On October 7th, I was scheduled to meet a Vietnamese Buddhist nun in the evening for a “Hair Releasing Ceremony.” My hair was starting to fall out after the first round of Chemotherapy and this nun was a good friend who promised to help me. She shaved her head every week as part of her vows, and supports others in the releasing of their hair. Mother Gaia woke me up at 6am that morning and told me to take a hot, healing bath to get ready. We want Love from the humans. There is so much Fear directed towards us and all of this Fear hurts us. The Fear makes us grow even more as Fear is not Healing. It is the opposite. If you send us Love, then we can take in those Love energies and feel appreciated and start to release from you. You have tied us to the Death Energies of Fear. There are so many misperceptions of Death. This makes us so unhappy. You have no idea how unhappy. We are messengers – all of us Cancer Cells. We are messengers of how you are not taking care of your sacred temple, your body. Your body is not a machine. Your body is a fantastic flow of sacred energy and cells, and organs all dancing in a most amazingly choreographed way that great intelligences from the Universe have brought together for you to be incarnate. We Cancer are here to help you grow spiritually so that you can remember who you truly are, as powerful, divine beings who source from Spirit. You are gifted these bodies in the physical to grow spiritually, to always return to Spirit. Some call it Heaven, or wherever. Trees don’t have cancer. Nature Spirits don’t have cancer. They don’t need cancer to remember who they are. The only animals who get cancer are the ones exposed to the chemicals in your human environments. We Cancer came from off planet. Through truth-be-told, all life here on Earth came from somewhere off in the

Cosmos. Though you humans have not been so kind to all of that life. The reason Cancer has run so ‘amok’ – as you may see it – among so many of your human bodies is that you are not taking care of your sacred bodies. You

are not taking care of your water, your food, your emotional bodies, your soul bodies, your homes, your neighborhoods, each other, and so much of all that is around you and within you. So, we are here to teach you. To open you up to your core. Some of you are not going as deep to your core as you could. That is your choice. Some of you are not willing to heal at the depths of the soul level you could, and that is your choice. The truth is that We Cancer can leave your body to give it back to you so you can be ‘healthy’ when you TRULY want this. Yet this means doing your spiritual work to depths that you may not be open to. As opposed to how some of your religions may teach this, you are souls who have all lived multiple incarnations. Odds are good some of your lifetimes have not even been on this planet. There is Karma that builds up from interactions with other souls that can actually bring us Cancer in. Soul woundedness. Yet this Karma can be cleared, so your soul body can return to a higher level of Love, that is so high vibrational that we know our work is done, and we can then gently leave your sacred temple. “All Cancer can be Healed” – as some of you may word this. This is Truth. We also want to state that our Earth that we share with you is not a machine, as neither is your body. Many of you have found us growing within you because of how your culture treats

your food, our water, air and so many things you buy. Many of you are aware that these chemicals weaken your cells and this allows us to come in. Many of you are not aware of this. Or at least not enough to change your ways.

We yearn for you to send us Love. We yearn for you to recognize the Great Intelligence of the Consciousness of Cancer. We yearn for you to recognize our Deva (actually all Devas, including your own body-deva). Sigh, we yearn for you to recognize how we can help you grow spiritually. Many times, we bring you Home to Spirit. Such a beautiful experience when you pass over to come Home. This is a gift too! We help your loved ones grow spiritually if they so choose to grow. Yes, some people get stuck in their anger and hurt and grief and blame

God or Creator, and wallow in a darker place. That is their choice too. Their soul-woundedness. Sigh… They can go to very Dark Places. They don’t have to do that. We also yearn for when we won’t need to be present in your bodies to

be a teacher for you. There will be a time when you have learned about the Sacred Dance of Love between all the cells in your body. And the Sacred Dance of Love of all beings and energies here on Earth. This time is approaching soon. And we will have phased out then. We invite you to embrace us. To bring us into your Oneness. To open up to the teachings that we offer to you. Do you not see how your Fear of us and wishing to cut us out of your system is a way of hating a part of your body? Yes, sometimes surgery

to remove some tumors that we’ve helped to create is a wise decision. Yet we want you to reflect on the roots of how it is that we even needed to come into your body so that you can start the healing there. In this deeper process, we can start to leave your body from a place of harmonious release.

Love your food. There are farms that offer love to the plants (and animals) as they are growing them. You can find them. Eat your food mindfully and with gratitude. And Love. Drink good water. Love your water and bless it before you drink it. Send love to the rivers, the streams, the oceans, to all of your water! Love the trees and all the plants that give you oxygen. Do you know how much they also yearn for you to open up to the great dance of Love within which they exist? They are waiting for humans to rejoin that dance!

We are all One, including – yes – we cancer cells. Please open up to what we are offering you and embrace our sacredness too.

There is a greater purpose to our existence! ~~~ Update, August 2nd, 2021. I am doing far better healthwise. Right after the diagnosis last summer, Mother Gaia told

me that the lymphoma was just a bump in the road and an opportunity for me to clear my woundedness, to go far deeper in my work serving her.

I have spent many weeks sending love to the cancer cells in my body and finding alternative treatments that honor

the deeper wisdom of team healing within all the cells in my body and all the food and water and air that I breathe, to the best of my capacities. While there have been moments of terror, I am grateful for this Healing Adventure.

People who have near-death experiences sometimes say they went through a tunnel. I’m using the word “chamber” because a tunnel has sides, but no matter what direction I looked, there was nothing but light for as far as I could see. Maybe the difference is I had a one-way ticket and theirs was a round-trip.

And even though I didn’t have my body anymore, it felt

like I did and that it was being healed. The lights in the 38

car accident that were being healed.

In the first nanosecond that the lights touched me, they erased any harm I suffered during my lifetime: physical, mental, emotional, or otherwise.

Soon, Daddy appeared right there beside me, young

and smiling and handsome as ever. He was making jokes

and asking, “What took you so long?” It was so great, seeing Daddy, but I’m guessing he was there to be a familiar landmark in foreign territory. I’m saying that because he

was only with me for part of the ride and Daddy definitely wasn’t the main event.

The main event was the silvery lights and their party

atmosphere. Those healing lights had a festive feeling,

like they were cheering me on, saying, “Welcome home, Son.”

I can’t say how long I was floating up the healing

chamber, because I no longer have a sense of time. But I can say that chamber was some kind of cosmic birthing canal that delivered me into this new life.

I want you to know, darling, there’s nothing hard or

cruel for me anymore. I glided from the chamber right

out into the glorious Universe. I’m drifting weightlessly

through space with the gorgeous stars and moons and

galaxies twinkling all around me. The whole atmosphere

is filled with a soothing hum, like hundreds of thousands of voices are singing to me, but they’re so far away I can just barely hear them.

I’m looking down on the Earth, and it is down. It’s

like there’s a hole in the sky, a hole between our two

worlds, I can look through and see you. I know how sad

you are about my death. Sad is too small a word. Bereft

is more like it. But death isn’t as serious as you think it is,

honey. So far, it’s very enjoyable. Couldn’t be better, real-

ly. Try not to take death too seriously. As a matter of fact,

try not to take life too seriously. You’d enjoy yourself a lot more. That’s one of the secrets of life. Saying goodbye

isn’t as serious as it seems either, because we will meet again.

And although I can’t exactly say anyone was here to

greet me, as soon as I came out of the chamber I felt a

Divine Presence; a kind, loving, beneficent presence, and really, that was enough.

In addition to the Divine Presence I also feel beings

around me—Higher Beings, I guess you would call them. I can’t explain why I’m using the words ”beings,” and not

the singular; I just know there’s more than one. I can’t see or hear them, but I can feel them moving about, swooshing by, doing different things that concern yours truly.

And although I haven’t got a clue what these things might

be, I’m guessing that floating out here in space is euphoric instead of terrifying because I’m being attended to by

umanity emerged out of the wilds of na-

ture, where we use to deeply integrate with

nature’s rhythms. The physical, mental, emotional,

and spiritual aspects of our being were intimately

connected to nature because we lived in it and with it. Over the centuries, humanity has stepped away

from nature to seek out “security” and uniformity,

mostly partaking of this wonderful abundance on

“vacations” for a bit of recreation. When we begin to

understand that nature is our nature, we realize that by

being separate from it is being separate from Who We

Like the long green twisting vines I encountered

during my recent visit to New Zealand, I’ve allowed

nature’s energetic gifts to lovingly wrap around my life,

Witches Guarding the Sacred Soul of Nature

Witches are at once fantastical and very ordinary. What makes us both

is our commitment to living with integrity and honoring the earth we walk upon. We are like any other human who cares to live this way.

Witches strive for their actions to be for the good of all. They wish to

guard the soul of nature, to bring solace to those they encounter, harmony to everyday life, balance to their environment, and to listen deeply to all

sentient life forms. Can you see yourself in this? Healers, shamans, herbalists, medicine folk, activists for Gaia and people from all walks of life share these same desires.

This path is as ancient as the first steps humanity took and will endure

forever more, as long as we have breath to guard what is sacred and vulnerable.

To be a witch is to practice inner knowing – the ability to trust our in-

stincts, to value intuition and the guidance of our soul. It is to walk barefoot on the earth. It is to think with our hearts. It is to see medicine in our food.

I have been told, many a time, that using a word different than

‘witch’ to describe my path would attract more people to the

philosophy. This only makes me more determined to not abandon the word. Above all, I wish for people to lean in, ask questions,

and learn more about what it is to be a witch in a modern world. When witches celebrate Samhain, their most high and sacred

festival from the evening of October 31st to the evening of No-

vember 1st, they do so to connect with ancestors and to wander

the Underworld in search of wisdom. At Samhain, they fly to other dimensions to commune with lost parts of themselves through

dreams and sometimes plant medicine. They celebrate birth, life, death and rebirth, because this cycle informs every part of their existence. The modern witch is like her witch sisters and broth-

ers from centuries ago… aware of the mystery of life, part of the mystery, surrendered to the mystery. Nothing lies outside the mystery.

When I say witch, I mean Maiden, Mother and Crone. I mean

Youth, Warrior and Sage. Every stage of life is honored by the

witch, and no one stage or gender is venerated above another. The modern witch is as needed now as she was ages ago, an-

Allowing Archangel Michael

eyond my wildest dreams, I could have never

imagined what would take place on that unfor-

gettable, warm summer afternoon in Los Angeles, 7/17/2017.

All my years of higher education, medical training,
