By their critical presentation to the status quo and the limiting of access to the world, the associative forms will let their actions be governed by the motto of the “Do-ItYourself� culture. It defends the citizen protagonism on the transformation of reality in a creative and collaborative ways. Thus, it is believed that FAVELA, WE DO IT should be guided by means of five axis of actions, aiming to deal with problems in a propositional way. These are: To Collaborate - Actions that stimulate the union and engagement of the population through new ideas, proposals, collaborative tools, new governance and self-management. Connecting favelas to universities, investors, tourists and interested parties. To Interact - Proposals of new equipments that encourage the use of public spaces, shortening distances and creating accessible and well-solved places. Aiming the adaptation and promotion of the local economy, through agglomerations of investment in creative economy, coworking and startup. Virtual encouragement by creating apps and websites, connecting favelas to the world.
To heal - To incorporate in everyday life the contact with nature, activating the senses of the population, rescuing the relation of heritage from environmental education in order to raise awareness about the preservation of resources and landscape. Encourage the practice of urban agriculture in slabs and shared public spaces.

One of the most important instruments for the viability of these projects is Lab Favela. It would work as a facilitator for the connection with universities and investors, located in an strategic spot. LAB Favela has an adaptive architecture with the reuse of containers, following the actions and premises of the proposal and low investment. We must face the fragilities of any favela and its resources as an opportunity to investigate new possibilities and not as a way of technical legitimation in order to promote conventional solutions.

In this context, when dealing with new ways of making urbanism and possible solutions for housing politics in Brazil and in the world, we seek to contribute with the debate on the reframing the boundaries formal city x favela / favela x world. This is made possible through the collective experience of the inhabitants on identifying problems, empowering themselves and creating the sense of belonging with their own place.
To permeate - To maximize the capacity of the urban fabric to be permeated by diverse everyday flows people, goods, services. To facilitate accessibility through integration between modes, giving priority to pedestrian walkability and non-motorised modes.To increase plant cover, providing improvements in terms of environmental comfort, encouraging users to transform places that were once just passageways, in places of conviviality and meeting, strengthening their identity.
