Reflection 1
During my time as a content creator for the school yearbook, one project that holds special significance for me is the Boys Water Polo yearbook spread. It was a pivotal moment in my journey as a designer, where began to feel a sense of confidence in my abilities. Looking back, I am proud of the progress I made and how this spread marked a turning point in my growth as both a designer and a writer.
When I first started working with Adobe InDesign and designing yearbook spreads, I felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. The earlier spreads I worked on were more about getting accustomed to the software and understanding the technical aspects of layout design. While I was learning the tools and techniques, my confidence was still developing, and I relied heavily on templates and guidance from my teammates. The Boys Water Polo spread, however, was different. It was the first time I took the reins and felt a surge of creative ownership.
