• Assists lab technologists with technical

procedures and facilitates workflow

• Prints and affixes bar-coded specimen labels for testing and storage

• Allocates, stores, and retrieves patient specimens using sample-tracking programs

• Accesses patient specimens according to HDL, Inc. protocols, with strict adherence to Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc.’s Quality Assurance standards, and organizes specimens by accession number after testing is completed

• Inventories laboratory reagents and consumables in accessioning and testing areas

• Monitors equipment function • Adheres to HDL, Inc.’s Health and Safety Guidelines to protect employees working in the laboratory

Lab Technologist • Performs moderate and high complexity testing

• Performs clinical automated, molecular, and manual laboratory testing, as well as quality assessment and reporting of assigned analytical test procedures

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective action on assigned laboratory instrumentation

• Prepares calibrators and performs assay calibration

• Prepares reagents according to laboratory procedures

• Interprets, accepts, and releases patient test results, following protocol for critical values

• Maintains sufficient levels of reagent and consumable supplies in assigned area

• R eviews accessioning order entry and demographic information on requisitions against order choice

•D ocuments errors found during review of requisitions

•C ontacts doctors’ practices to resolve discrepancies between requisitions and attachment

•A ssists the laboratory with data entry as needed

•C ommunicates with healthcare professionals about patient test results, supply orders, and specimen pick-ups; communicates with patients about billing and scheduling appointments with a Clinical Health Consultant

• P erforms duties related to problem discovery and resolution and works closely with the pre-analytical departments within Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc.

•A dheres to HDL, Inc.’s Health and Safety Guidelines to protect everyone working in the laboratory

•A dheres to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality


Sales Support Administrator

Clinical Health Consultant

• Works closely with the Sales Department to help

• P rovides general information regarding HDL, Inc.

strengthen customer base and increase sales

• Creates new client accounts in Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc.’s various internal software systems

• Processes sales requests, including making sales folders, supplying sales and marketing materials, filling supply orders for clients, and updating client custom requisitions and customer contact information

• Sends out daily sales volume reports • Coordinates internal resources with multiple departments to ensure customers’ timely and accurate receipt of product

laboratory tests to help educate patients

• I nforms patients of achievable improvements to diet, exercise, stress management or other lifestyle factors that could affect heart health

• Develops personalized action plans to help patients reduce risk of cardiovascular events that revolve around diet, exercise and/or other lifestyle factors

•H elps provide ideas to help reduce ongoing stress and may work with patients on simple breathing techniques to help them feel more relaxed

• I mproves patients’ diet by discussing grocery store shopping tips, including how to read nutrition labels, providing recipe ideas, and offering tips in making permanent dietary changes

•W orks with doctors to reinforce information discussed with patients during office visits/phone appointments
