Hey guys,

I hope everyone is having a fantastic time, and enjoying their New Year festivities. As 2015 has come to a start, so has a new year of giving and service. Make volunteering one of your resolutions, and start off the year with smiles and laughter. This New Year doesn’t only embark a new beginning but a start to other things as well. Lieutenant Governor elections are approaching, DCON is around the corner and the school year is almost half way over. What are you planning to accomplish? Before you know it, 2016 will be soon approaching, and I can only hope that the amazing dedication and effort you guys put in Key Club will remain. Have an amazing New Year! In Love and Service, Ramneet Kaur Lieutenant Governor Division 19/36 PNW Key Club

What’s up?

Look at the time, it’s already 2015! Where has the year gone? Last I remember, we just started the school year with a bang and now we’re almost half way over? I cannot stress enough how happy I am to serve as your Divisional Editor for this New Year, and capture even more everlasting memories. Our time is short, and there’s still lots of service out there that needs to be done. All I can say is that you guys are doing an amazing job, and keep up the good work. As much as I will miss this job, I’m here to help anyone that wishes to take it on. Not only are LTG elections coming up, but the position of Divisional Editor is also open. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and have a safe and exciting New Year! In Love and Service, Karen Cabacungan Divisional Editor Division 19/36 PNW Key Club

DCM RECAP

6

DCM RECAP There was so much excitement and bonding at the last DCM, which occurred at the Bremerton Ice Rink, on December 29th. The theme was ice-skating, and everyone came bundled with clothes considering the cold weather already outside. Many topics were discussed, such as upcoming Lieutenant Governor elections and club officer elections, DCON registration, divisional clothing and spirit gear, club progress/member input and much more. After new business was talked about, everyone enjoyed some skating on the rink. Overall it was a very informational/ successful DCM but also very fun! Â 7 Â

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ELECTIONS Being an LTG may seem stressful and lots of work, but if you were truly to observe this position, it’s not very hard. Anyone can be a Lieutenant Governor, and might I say that at first I didn’t believe I could either, but time and the District Board has taught me a lot. Not only do you develop amazing communication and team working skills, but also it gives you the chance to explore the world of service and step up as a leader. Remember, I’ll be here step by step to guide you along the way, and you’re not alone. The experience is worth millions and the fun you have is limitless. All I can say is that, being a Lieutenant Governor has changed my life, how can it change yours? For more information, contact me or check out the divisional page for the Candidates Packet, and specific procedures. Good Luck!

WHEN: January 17th, 2015 WHERE: United Way Bldg. TIME: 1:00-3:00 PM WHAT: LTG Elections *Dress in Business Casual and don’t forget to bring signed Candidates Packet. Encourage your friends/ fellow clubbers to come along.

DISTRICT BOARD ELECTIONS If working at the divisional level does not seem fit for you, there are available positions in clubs and on the regional level. You can serve on the Pacific Northwest District Board, for the year 2015-2016. All elections for District Board occur at DCON during caucusing, and final decisions are made during the House of Delegates. If you are interested in taking the roll of leadership one step ahead, be sure to contact either me or the District Board itself for more information. D-Board contact information is on PAGE 18. Good Luck!

Bremerton High School Key Club is always on top of things when it comes to service projects and giving back. Every week they plan a whole new service project, always exciting and great whether it may be participating in Special Olympics Bowling, reading to children, caroling for the elderly, bell ringing at local grocery stores or simply helping the unfortunate. Thank for making our community better one step at a time, and always valuing service. Keep up the amazing work!
