INTRODUCTION Hereford Burnt River Ranch is exactly what a big western grazing ranch should look like: sagebrush and bunch grass-covered hills, rolling down into irrigated meadows with a river running through it. This also makes for prime habitat and sanctuary for wildlife. The 9,899± acres runs from the valley floor to the ridgeline to the south and the Burnt River, along with three other year-round creeks running through the ranch. The ranch will graze over 400 pairs or 1,000 yearlings from mid-April through November. The spread takes multiple drainages, forming wonderful wildlife habitat that supports good elk numbers, deer, bear, and some quail. Hereford Burnt River Ranch | Hereford, Oregon
