It is our pleasure to welcome you to our second annual “Barber’s Red & White Cowtown Lights” Sale, held in the historic Stockyards of Fort Worth, Texas, at 6:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, March 30, 2013. We are proud to be offering an outstanding set of fall-born heifers as well as several excellent embryo packages. e majority of our sale offering carries the influence of Gabrielle. is incredible female has certainly made her mark on our breeding program. In addition to being a two-time Denver Open Show Champion, a Denver Supreme Champion and a Junior National Champion, Gabrielle is also the mother of Currency and Bailee. Currency was the 2010 Denver Champion Horned Hereford bull. Bailee, who was purchased in last year’s Cowtown Lights Sale by Colyer Herefords, is the 2013 Fort Worth National Champion Horned Hereford female. We are very pleased by the fact that National Champion caliber cattle are offered in this sale. One last note on Gabrielle…we believe the most important reason that she has had such a lasting impact on our herd is that her daughters in production are “in a league of their own.” We are also offering some elite embryo lots out of three Gabrielle daughters as well as a set of embryos out of Gabrielle herself. ese embryo packages are all sired by industry-leading bulls. ere will also be top quality sale features from KLD Herefords, Langford Herefords, MCS Cattle Company and Rafter J Herefords. In addition to seeing some great Hereford cattle, you will be able to experience the history and fun of the Fort Worth Stockyards—there is no place else like it! All the cattle being sold will be on display in the Stockyards beginning on ursday prior to the sale. ere will be cocktails and hors dóeuvres directly before the sale to go along with plenty of great Hereford fellowship throughout the weekend. Gabrielle 2123 is the natural calf of donor cow 8051 and is deﬁnitely one of our favorites in the sale. 2123 is a linebred Gabrielle 5082 female. 5082 is a two-time Denver Champion as well as Supreme Champion. 5082’s progeny include Denver Champion bull Currency and this year’s Fort Worth Champion heifer, Bailee. 2123 is incredibly maternal in her design yet still very stout in the way she is put together.
