Team Roster Head Coach Mike D’Antoni (born May 8, 1951) is an American former professional basketball player and the current head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. While head coach of the NBA's Phoenix Suns, he won NBA Coach of the Year honors for the 2004–05 NBA season after the Suns posted 33 more wins than the previous season. He coached the New York Knicks starting in 2008 before resigning in 2012. He was hired by the Lakers after seven games into the 2012–13 season.

As of March 2013, he ranks third and fourth on the league's alltime postseason scoring and all-time regular season scoring lists, respectively.
